On July 10th, the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security released information on the results of the first six months of 2025 for the traffic police force.

In the first six months of 2025, the traffic police force aggressively and comprehensively implemented many solutions to ensure traffic safety and order, yielding high effectiveness.

The national traffic police force inspected and handled 1,668,888 cases of violations of road, rail, and inland waterway traffic safety regulations, revoked 149,070 driver's licenses, professional certificates, and temporarily seized 424,077 vehicles of various types.

Road traffic authorities handled 1,636,306 cases (310,058 cases of drunk driving, 2,397 cases of driving under the influence of drugs, 18,627 cases of overloading, 398,822 cases of speeding violations, 76,507 cases of driving in the wrong lane or section of the road, using a mobile phone while driving, etc.).

Notably, traffic police detected and handled 38,651 cases of traffic safety violations by students (accounting for 2.36% of all violations processed).

Railways handled 1,749 cases, and waterways handled 30,833 cases.

Traffic police forces, both directly and in coordination with other functional forces, inspected and detected 1,524 cases of criminal, economic , and environmental offenses, arresting 1,587 individuals (including 5 wanted fugitives and 60 illegal immigrants). As a result, they seized 141.8 kg and 247,413 pills of synthetic drugs; 107,070 packs of foreign cigarettes, and many other valuable items, which were handed over to the relevant authorities for processing according to regulations.
