More than 5,000 people perform Ao Dai at Nguyen Hue walking street on the morning of March 8

On the morning of March 8, at Nguyen Hue walking street, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism coordinated with other units to organize a performance with the theme "I love Vietnamese Ao Dai".

This is one of the main activities within the framework of the 10th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival, aiming to promote the image of Ho Chi Minh City tourism to a large number of tourists.

The program gathered more than 5,000 people wearing Ao Dai, including city leaders, departments and organizations, Thu Duc City and 21 districts, the City Women's Union, ambassadors of the Ao Dai festival, artists, actors and people...

Speaking at the program, Ms. Nguyen Tran Phuong Tran, President of the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Union, said that after 9 times of organization, the Ao Dai festival has become one of the annual events, with large-scale investment and innovation in content.

The festival inspired and spread the love for Vietnamese Ao Dai with the message "I love Vietnamese Ao Dai".

At Nguyen Hue walking street, many foreign tourists were excited about the Ao Dai festival. Mr. and Mrs. Cormer Patrice (French nationality) shared, “My husband and I are very happy today to join the Vietnamese friends in the Ao Dai performance.

"Vietnamese people are friendly and hospitable, especially the ao dai is very beautiful," Mr. Cormer Patrice shared.

The performance gathered more than 5,000 people wearing Ao Dai including: ambassadors of the Ao Dai festival, many artists, actors and people... to participate.

After the opening ceremony, thousands of people dressed in traditional Vietnamese dress paraded on the walking street.

"I really like wearing ao dai, whether I'm going to work, to parties or anywhere, whenever I have the chance I always choose to wear ao dai," a woman attending the program shared.

After attending the parade, Mr. and Mrs. Cormer Patrice (French nationality) stopped by to try on the ao dai. They were both very happy and enjoyed wearing the Vietnamese ao dai.

Many people took the opportunity to take souvenir photos during the series of events of the 2024 Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival.
