According to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 1:00 p.m. on November 8, the center of storm No. 7 was located in the East Sea of the northern East Sea, the strongest wind near the center of the storm was level 14, gusting to level 17. The storm moved in a southwest direction, at a speed of about 15 km/h. It is forecasted that in the next 24 hours, in the sea area of Ninh Thuan province, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms; strong northeast winds of level 5, level 6, gusting to level 7, level 8. Rough seas, waves from 2 - 4m high. All ships and other activities on and near the coast are at high risk of being affected by strong winds and big waves.

In Ninh Thuan province, to proactively respond, departments, branches, and localities have strictly implemented the Official Dispatch No. 8356/CD-BNN-DD dated November 6, 2024 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. Closely monitor the storm's developments, direct information, and guide vehicles and boats to move to safe anchorages. Up to now, there are 2,268 ships/12,392 workers anchored at ports in the province and 309 ships/2,781 workers are still operating at sea.
After listening to the localities' reports on response plans for storm No. 7, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Hoang Hiep requested localities to closely monitor and update the situation and developments of the storm; proactively and promptly deploy response work effectively. In particular, strictly control ships going out to sea, guide them to anchor, berth, and take shelter safely; prepare means and forces to evacuate people in dangerous areas when the storm makes landfall; ensure the safety of dykes, lakes, dams, and aquaculture cages. Press agencies promptly report on the developments of the storm and response work so that people can grasp and proactively prevent it.
