The Standing Committees of the Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committees met to exchange experiences in their work.

Also attending the working session were: Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee; Doan Anh Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committees; and leaders of relevant departments, agencies, and localities of both provinces.

Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan are two provinces in the South Central coastal region, separated from Thuan Hai province in 1992. With many similarities in history, nature, economy , culture, and society, the two provinces have undergone significant development and transformation over the past years, achieving remarkable successes and milestones. On behalf of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee delegation, Comrade Nguyen Hoai Anh, Secretary of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee, expressed his admiration for Ninh Thuan province's development after 32 years of re-establishment. He also emphasized that the meeting was an opportunity for the two localities to exchange information and share experiences in leadership, direction, management, and implementation of socio-economic development, national defense, and security tasks. He highlighted several areas where Binh Thuan needs to study, refer to, and learn from Ninh Thuan's experience, such as planning, attracting investment in infrastructure, and digital transformation, thereby creating synergy for development between the two provinces.

Based on the discussions at the meeting, Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan provinces proposed signing cooperation agreements in potential, advantageous, and similar areas such as: energy industry, marine economy, tourism, culture, high-tech agriculture, digital transformation, investment promotion, trade, services, interconnected irrigation reservoirs and water channels to develop production… Accordingly, the two provinces will cooperate to promote innovation in growth models and economic restructuring; strongly develop the marine economy; develop a green economy, digital economy, circular economy, and sharing economy, creating a future inter-regional development momentum.

Speaking at the meeting, the Secretary of the Ninh Thuan Provincial Party Committee congratulated Binh Thuan province on the results and achievements it has attained in recent years. He also expressed his hope that Binh Thuan province would continue to exchange information and share experiences to create political momentum and complement and support each other in developing potential and advantages, thereby contributing to strengthening the bond between the two localities. He suggested that the two provinces should study, exchange ideas, and soon reach an agreement to sign a policy cooperation agreement to promote rapid and sustainable development.

The focus will be on leveraging the shared strengths of Ninh Thuan and Binh Thuan in the fields of renewable energy and offshore wind power; strengthening the sharing of experiences on mechanisms and policies to attract investment, applying science and technology, and training human resources. It will also promote cooperation between seaports and the Thanh Son-Phan Thiet airport; coordinate the development of domestic and international tourism markets; develop tourism real estate; attract investment and cooperate in training and developing tourism human resources based on the advantages and potential of each locality; and exchange experiences in researching, practicing, preserving, and promoting the value of Cham cultural heritage between the two provinces.

Strengthening the provision of information on investment promotion in industrial zones and clusters; linking the development of highly competitive logistics centers in the region. In addition, promoting the exchange of information and experience in ensuring national defense and security, disaster prevention and control, search and rescue, and ensuring security in border areas and at sea. The comrade also directed the People's Committee and relevant departments and localities of Ninh Thuan province to continue to closely coordinate with relevant agencies and organizations of Binh Thuan province to exchange and learn from each other's experiences and propose solutions and approaches suitable to the practical situation, ensuring effective cooperation and new developments.

At the end of the working session, the delegation from the Standing Committee of the Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee visited the Phan Rang-Thap Cham City Sustainable Environment Sub-project and the Dinh River Salinity Barrier Dam project.
