The floating stage on the Perfume River (Hue City) with a total cost of more than 16.7 billion VND to serve the opening night of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 is gradually emerging.

On March 23rd, at the National Education Monument (Thuan Hoa District, Hue City), the construction unit working on the stage for the opening night of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 (taking place on the evening of March 25th) is rushing to complete the final items.

At this time, hundreds of dancers and artists from all over the country have also gathered in Hue, hastily rehearsing for the opening night's artistic program.

In addition to the spectacular artistic performances, the highlight of the opening night of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 was the outdoor stage, floating on the romantic Perfume River.

Viewed from above, the stage resembles a bell – a distinctive decorative motif of Hue's imperial architecture. Additionally, a grandstand has been installed, with a capacity of up to thousands of spectators.

Reportedly, the decorations and staging for this performance were funded by the Hue City People's Committee with a total budget of nearly 16.7 billion VND.

The opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 is scheduled to take place at 8:10 PM on March 25th. The program will feature a semi-live performance, incorporating water screens, visual mapping, LED floor displays, pyrotechnic effects, hot air balloons, paragliding, heavy smoke, and sound and light installations.

Dancer Pham Ngoc Duy (from Hanoi ) shared: "I've performed on many stages before, but this is the first time I've performed on a stage on the water like this. It's so spacious and magnificent, so I'm extremely excited. I hope that in the future, Vietnam in general and Hue in particular will strongly develop tourism, as well as promote Vietnamese culture and national identity."

To date, the construction unit has completed the installation of the grandstands for the opening ceremony.

Mr. Duong Quang Hien, Director of the Thuan Hoa District Green Park Center, Hue City, said that the stage for the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025 has been basically completed. Regarding stage decoration, the ceremonial bell is only for the opening ceremony and will be dismantled afterward. Construction of the outdoor stage project will continue in this area.

The grandstand has a capacity of over 6,000 people.

Previously, at this location, the People's Committee of Hue City also invested more than 28.5 billion VND to serve the project of an outdoor stage combined with a promenade along the Perfume River.

The project aims to renovate and beautify the two banks of the Perfume River to maximize its potential for cultural tourism; as a recreational area and venue for major events in Hue City.

The project includes a 432-meter-long, 3-meter-wide promenade along the Perfume River. A semicircular stage will feature a 20-cm-thick reinforced concrete floor, topped with 50mm-thick lim wood, covering an area of ​​430 m². The grandstand area will be covered with topsoil, grass, and seasonal flowers, covering 3,000 m². The seating area will consist of 334-meter-long monolithic stone benches. Lighting will include two floodlights, 213 recessed LED lights, and 330 waterproof LED strip lights.

At this location, the construction unit is implementing a project to build an outdoor stage combined with a promenade along the Perfume River.

After nearly two months of construction, the project has now completed several basic items, sufficient to meet the requirements for setting up and installing the stage for the opening ceremony of the National Tourism Year – Hue 2025.

Once completed, this venue will be a place to host many outdoor events and spectacular art programs.

When completed, this venue will host numerous outdoor events and spectacular art programs with a capacity of approximately 6,000 people. The project is expected to take two years to complete.
