Soc Son district stops supplying electricity to land violations

Soc Son district stops supplying electricity to cases of violations of land, construction order, and fire prevention and fighting.

According to the People's Committee of Soc Son district, in recent times, the State management of land, construction order, fire prevention and fighting has always been identified by the District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee as a key task that needs to be focused on leading and directing implementation with the efforts of sectors, organizations, and consensus of the people.

However, the situation of land and construction violations in some communes is still very complicated; the number of violating constructions is large. Some violations exist in the use of electricity for daily life, production and business without ensuring fire prevention and fighting and regulations of the Electricity Law.

Pursuant to the direction of the Hanoi People's Committee, the People's Committee of Soc Son district has sent a document to: Soc Son Electricity Company; Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Urban Construction Order Management Team; Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and towns on "stopping electricity supply for cases of violations of land, construction order, fire prevention and fighting in the district".

Accordingly, the District People's Committee requested the Electricity Company to coordinate with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Urban Construction Order Management Team, and the People's Committees of communes and towns to inspect cases of land violations (with construction works), and construction order using electricity in the district.

Based on the review results, the units will stop supplying electricity to cases of unqualified electricity trading, unsafe electricity use, and improper electricity use, etc. in accordance with regulations. The implementation time is before September 30, 2024.

The District People's Committee assigned the Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and towns to carry out statistics and summarize all violations of land (with construction works), construction order in the area where electricity is being used and send them to Soc Son Electricity Company for coordination and implementation. The completion time is before September 20, 2024.
