The organizers of the "Vietnam Global Smart Manufacturing and Supply Chain (VGMF) 2024" conference announced that more than 300 businesses in the electronics, processing, and manufacturing industries have registered to attend the conference, which will take place on March 26th at the National Convention Center ( Hanoi ).
These are foreign direct investment (FDI) manufacturing enterprises operating in Vietnam, as well as Vietnamese enterprises producing electronic components, semiconductors, and equipment.
On behalf of the conference organizers, the Vietnam Financial Advisors Association stated that the event was held in the context of smart manufacturing becoming a key force driving industrial upgrading and global economic growth.
As a new manufacturing link in Asia, Vietnam is playing an increasingly important role in the global smart manufacturing supply chain.
VGMF 2024 aims to create a platform for communication, discussion, and making recommendations to government agencies, industry associations, businesses, and scientific research organizations in Vietnam and other countries in the region.
The conference will focus on discussing the latest technologies, industry trends, policy environment, investment opportunities in the smart manufacturing sector, and how to find a path for collaborative development in the new global economic landscape.
Beyond showcasing the latest technologies and business models, VGMF 2024 also serves as a catalyst for promoting smart manufacturing collaboration among countries in the region through a connecting point in Vietnam.
From this platform, participating businesses and investors can explore together how to use smart manufacturing to drive economic growth, improve industrial competitiveness, and contribute to sustainable development goals.
In addition, the conference will also discuss how to seek opportunities for common development in the current international situation, especially in the context of economic and trade relations among developing countries, which are currently facing both favorable and challenging circumstances.
According to Mr. Le Anh Dung, General Director of A+ Industrial Real Estate Investment and Leasing Joint Stock Company (co-organizer of the conference), at VGMF 2024, experts and investors will discuss trends and new developments in the smart manufacturing industry, creating a new overall picture for the smart manufacturing industry in Vietnam and globally. Through this, participants will explore smart manufacturing methods, seek common development opportunities, and achieve mutually beneficial results in the context of shifting global manufacturing investment flows.
“VGMF 2024 includes businesses operating in the semiconductor, electronics, and smart manufacturing sectors serving the global supply chain. These are businesses from the US, Europe, Japan, South Korea, China, Singapore… that are already present in Vietnam, as well as potential investors in the electronics and semiconductor manufacturing industry who are considering investing to seize opportunities for cooperation with major technology giants such as NVIDIA (US), ASML (Netherlands), Amkor, Seojin (South Korea), and semiconductor manufacturing corporations from Japan and China that are planning to enter Vietnam. These are key factors that will trigger the fourth wave of investment starting in 2024,” said Mr. Le Anh Dung.
The conference consisted of two main sessions. Session 1 focused on Smart Manufacturing, Intellectual Products, Technology, and Innovation; Session 2 focused on Manufacturing Technology and Global Supply Chains.
Following the conference, the organizers will continue to connect investors with domestic businesses and FDI enterprises operating in Vietnam to strengthen cooperation and investment, creating a network of collaboration among countries in the region to develop smart production chains and promote the growth of global supply chains manufactured in Vietnam.
