These two schools are organized annually by the Vietnam Meeting Association and the ICISE Center to provide opportunities for Vietnamese students to study and experience research alongside international students and leading scientists in their respective fields of study, focusing on the topics of each course.
Professor Tran Thanh Van, President of the Vietnam Meeting Association, delivered the opening remarks at the 8th Vietnam School on Neutrinos.
Specifically, the 8th Vietnam School on Neutrinos (VSON8), held from July 15-26, was attended by 32 scientists, researchers, and students from Japan, China, India, Italy, the UK, and Vietnam.
VSON8 students will be provided with knowledge of particle physics and neutrino physics; fundamental principles and modern techniques for detecting them; ongoing and future neutrino projects, as well as scientific discoveries that can be achieved with these experiments. In addition, students will learn specific skills such as: running simulations of neutrino interactions; classifying interactions through images obtained from the Super-Kamiokande detector (an experiment that directly contributed to the 2015 Nobel Prize in Physics); and directly operating, observing, and measuring with a simple cosmic ray detection system designed by the neutrino physics research group at ICISE.
According to Professor Tran Thanh Van, President of the Vietnam Meeting Association, the main goal of VSON is to provide students with a solid foundation in neutrinos to develop human resources for Vietnamese researchers in this field.

The 30th Vietnam School of Physics (VSOP 30) took place from July 15-26, attracting 34 scientists and researchers from 13 countries and territories.
This school was established in 1994. It provides opportunities for Vietnamese students to study and conduct research alongside international students and leading scientists; to seek doctoral and postdoctoral research scholarships at advanced universities and research institutes around the world , contributing to strengthening Vietnam's fundamental physics research force.
Vietnamese and foreign students attend the 30th Vietnam School of Physics.
VSOP always promotes two-way exchange between faculty and students, helping students to showcase their abilities, ignite a passion for science in the younger generation, enhance professional knowledge and skills, create an environment for interaction and cooperation, develop soft skills, and guide research and development towards a future career path in specialized research for students…
