This afternoon, May 5th, at the Khe May Artificial Football Field (Dong Ha City), Quang Tri Province Amateur Football and Anh Minh Sport jointly organized the opening ceremony of the 1st Quang Tri Province 7-a-side Football Championship – 2024, competing for the Usnano Cup.

The tournament took place from May 5-21, 2024, bringing together 256 players from 16 football clubs, including: Thien Long FC, TH FC, Q9 FC, Chois FC, Chi Thien Lenh FC, Trang Sao FC, Phakein FC, Future FC, Van Tai FC, 19/8 FC, Thien Binh FC, Friendship FC, DEC FC, Luxury FC, Thuong Nghia FC, and Music FC. The 16 teams were divided into 4 groups: A, B, C, and D; playing a round-robin format within each group, the top 8 teams with the highest and second highest scores from the 4 groups advanced to the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and final.
At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee will award the Championship Cup, Flag, Gold Medal and a bonus of 10 million VND to the Champion team; Flag, Silver Medal and a bonus of 6 million VND to the Runner-up team; Flag, Bronze Medal and a bonus of 2 million VND to the two third-place teams; award individual prizes including: best player, goalkeeper of the tournament, player with the most goals of the tournament, best young player of the tournament and the prize for the best player of the match from the quarter-finals to the final.

The Quang Tri Province 7-a-side Football Championship is organized in the form of socialized sports to create a useful playground for players and football lovers to meet, exchange and compete in sports; strengthen the solidarity and mutual support between football clubs for mutual development, contributing to the promotion of Quang Tri grassroots football.
Through the tournament, good players are selected for the Quang Tri amateur football team to participate in amateur football tournaments in the Central region and nationwide in the coming time.
