Khanh Hoa starts building houses for households whose houses collapsed due to natural disasters

Implementing the "Quang Trung Campaign" to rapidly rebuild and repair houses damaged by natural disasters in the Central region launched by the Prime Minister, on the morning of December 4, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province held a groundbreaking ceremony to rebuild houses for people completely damaged by natural disasters in Dien Dien commune to soon stabilize their lives.

At the ceremony, Mr. Tran Phong, Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, issued an order to build a new house for Mr. Nguyen Nam Trung's family (Tay 2 village, Dien Dien commune) - whose house was completely collapsed after the recent flood. The house was built on an area of ​​nearly 100m2, with a construction cost of about 100 million VND and with support of materials and labor from many businesses and units to speed up the construction progress.

The Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee requested that departments, branches and local authorities urgently make plans to support the construction of new collapsed houses and repair damaged houses; mobilize maximum resources to complete the project and soon stabilize people's lives; at the same time, remind local authorities to pay attention to and check the construction support to ensure the right subjects, resources, and progress, and to avoid shortage of construction materials during the construction process.

According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phu, Director of the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province, the Department is currently coordinating with relevant departments, branches and local authorities to inspect, review and rapidly deploy "Operation Quang Trung". The Department of Construction has prepared materials (cement) to support localities. At the same time, the unit has arranged staff to coordinate with local authorities to receive and deploy support to rebuild houses for people whose houses were completely collapsed due to recent floods. It is expected that the province will complete and hand over houses to households before January 15, 2026.

According to statistics from the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, the recent floods (from November 16 to 22) caused heavy damage to the province in terms of people and property. Of which, the floods caused 89 houses to collapse completely, 294 houses were severely damaged, greatly affecting people's lives.

Currently, in parallel with the construction of houses for people, localities in Khanh Hoa province are urgently providing material and spiritual support to people affected and damaged by floods; at the same time, promptly collecting and handling waste after floods to avoid environmental pollution causing epidemics.
