Youthful aspirations of typical young Vietnamese faces

The "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face" award is the most prestigious award of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, aiming to honor exemplary young people with outstanding achievements, creating a widespread impact in the community regarding their efforts and striving for excellence in the fields of study, scientific research, physical education, sports, labor, production, and national defense.

Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union Bui Quang Huy presented awards to the 10 Outstanding Young Vietnamese of 2023.

The outstanding and promising young Vietnamese figures of 2023 are exemplary role models with impressive achievements, inspiring others strongly; among them are students such as: Dinh Cao Son, Gold Medalist at the 2023 International Chemistry Olympiad, student at Hanoi Pedagogical University; Dang Cat Tien, student at Thai Nguyen Secondary School, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province; Pham Viet Hung, student at the High School for Gifted Students in Natural Sciences, Vietnam National University, Hanoi - currently a student at the University of Chicago (USA); Nguyen Tuan Phong, student at Bac Ninh High School for Gifted Students, Bac Ninh Province (currently a student at Hanoi University of Technology); Le Van Phuc, student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, Head of the Fly To Sky Charity Group...

At the awards ceremony, outstanding and promising students shared their dreams and aspirations for their youth.

Dinh Cao Son, a recipient of the Outstanding Young Vietnamese Award in 2023, shared that he dreams of becoming a teacher. His goal is to continue studying, training, and improving his knowledge of Chemistry in order to conquer new heights of knowledge.

According to Nguyen Tuan Phong, the first student from Bac Ninh province to win a Gold Medal at the Physics Olympiad, the key to better learning science subjects in general and physics in particular is for each student to firmly grasp basic knowledge, build a solid foundation, and from there develop critical thinking and find new directions.

Dang Cat Tien, a student from Thai Nguyen Secondary School in Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province, expressed that she felt very honored to have participated in the first Children's Parliament session in 2023 as the Chairperson of the Children's Parliament.

Through this mock session, my classmates and I not only gained valuable knowledge and skills, promoted children's participation rights, and expressed our opinions and aspirations to the National Assembly leaders, but this session also ignited in me the desires and dreams for the path I will choose in the future, as well as the aspiration to contribute even more to the country.

According to Cat Tien, with that aspiration, she will try to balance her studies and participation in extracurricular activities, especially those of the youth organization. Youth organization activities give her a lot of practical knowledge and skills; they help her understand more about the different aspects of life, cultivating a listening ear, an expressive soul, and a heart dedicated to her homeland and country...

Young people shouldn't hesitate to take action.

Speaking at the ceremony, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, Bui Quang Huy, stated that the vast majority of Vietnamese youth today are highly ambitious, have dreams and aspirations, possess good morals, are proactive, volunteer-minded, creative, and actively participate in socio-economic development and national defense. This is a crucial foundation for the feasibility of the 2045 aspiration.

These young people are honored as exemplary representatives of today's youth. They are outstanding individuals, representing approximately 24 million Vietnamese youth, and have surpassed numerous other candidates to receive this prestigious award.

These exemplary and impressive individuals share several common traits: perseverance, diligence, seriousness, and unwavering commitment to their chosen path; these are indispensable qualities on the road to achieving success and becoming outstanding role models.

Furthermore, these are individuals who dare to take risks, dare to act, and know how to apply the knowledge they have painstakingly acquired to real life. They are the authors of many initiatives, solutions, and projects that bring practical benefits to the community, the organization, and the country.

The 10 Outstanding Young Vietnamese and 9 Promising Young Vietnamese honored are the clearest evidence of the aspirations of Vietnamese youth.

"From the exemplary individuals honored today, the Central Committee of the Youth Union hopes that Vietnamese youth will always nurture their aspirations, set lofty goals for themselves, cultivate determination, and not hesitate to act to achieve their aspirations...", First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union Bui Quang Huy urged.

The First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union also requested that all levels of the Youth Union continue to effectively fulfill their functions, creating a good training environment for young people, and being a companion to young people on their path to conquering new heights.
