When "Theatre Alley" returns to the Smile Theater, "The Night Melody" celebrates Tet jubilantly

On the afternoon of January 25th, the "Xóm Kịch" theater held a rehearsal of the play "Khúc dạ tâm" (authors: Thành Phương - Nhã Uyên - Quốc Huy, director: Meritorious Artist Vũ Xuân Trang).

Thus, in addition to the Bach Long Children's Theatre's performance schedule, the "Drama Village" stage has also moved to the Nu Cuoi Theatre (6 Huyen Tran Cong Chua Street, District 1), located within the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Culture Palace complex.

This is considered a labor of love from the couple Vu Xuan Trang and Hoang Thy, as they brought a play written and performed by their own students to the big stage. "I've been through the job-seeking phase myself, so I understand the feelings of young actors after graduation who face unemployment. Therefore, I try to find performance venues and support them. The initial stages will be very difficult, but the valuable lessons they learn will be a valuable asset for them to pursue their careers with more confidence," said Meritorious Artist Vu Xuan Trang.

The young actors from "Drama Village" successfully conveyed genuine emotions through their characters.

The play "Nighttime Melody" boasts an elegant design, containing a terrifying atmosphere that is at times breathtaking. The story revolves around Thanh's family, with each scene leading the audience into the hidden corners of a home plagued by tragedy.

Thanh suffers from a blood disorder, and her hallucinations lead her to believe that her stepmother is the one harming her. Through various situations, the deeply humane ending further enhances the appeal of the youthful performances of these relatively unknown actors.

Actress Yen Thanh has another great role alongside the support of Nha Uyen.

Many people believe Vu Xuan Trang is being reckless. In these difficult economic times, even with a discount on theater rentals, recouping the investment through ticket sales would be impossible, especially since only Hoang Thy is a well-known name in the cast, while the rest are young actors such as Nha Uyen, Thanh Phuong, Yen Thanh, Thanh An, Quoc Huy, Thuy My, Quynh Nhi, Hang Nga, Minh Dat, Quoc Minh, Truc Linh…

Meritorious Artist Vu Xuan Trang's efforts in training have not been in vain, resulting in a generation of young actors who perform consistently well, clearly expressing the characters' personalities and promising to evoke strong emotions in the audience.

The play "Khúc dạ tâm" will premiere at 7 PM on January 27th at the Nụ Cười Theatre. Following that, alongside "Thủy quỷ," "Khúc dạ tâm" will be performed alternately for audiences during the Lunar New Year of the Year of the Dragon, from the 1st to the 8th day of the 2024 Lunar New Year, at the Nụ Cười Theatre.
