(NLDO) - The Investigation Police Agency, Khanh Hoa Provincial Police has issued a decision to prosecute a murder case in Ninh Hai ward, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa.
The suspect in the case is Le Van Hung (born in 1962, residing in Ninh Hai ward) who is currently being treated at Khanh Hoa General Hospital after committing suicide by drinking pesticide.
The two victims were Mr. Phan GN (born in 1964) and Ms. Le Thi TT (born in 1965), both teachers at Ninh Hai Primary School. The suspect was identified as Ms. T's biological brother.
According to initial information, the incident occurred at around 4:30 a.m. on January 10, in Dong Hai village, Ninh Hai ward, Ninh Hoa town, Khanh Hoa province.
Many people were present at the scene of the murder of the teacher couple.
According to witnesses, at this time, Ms. T. opened the door to go out to exercise, Mr. Hung suddenly rushed into the house with a knife, locked the door and attacked Ms. T. and Mr. N., causing both of them to die.
After committing the crime, Mr. Hung drank pesticide to commit suicide but was discovered and given emergency treatment at Khanh Hoa General Hospital.
According to the people, the teacher couple are both gentle people.
The cause of the incident is said to be due to Mr. Hung having a conflict with the remaining 3 sisters over a land dispute left by their parents.
Ninh Hoa Town People's Court was handling this land dispute when the heartbreaking incident happened.
Currently, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police Investigation Agency is monitoring suspect Le Van Hung at the hospital to take his statement when his health is stable.
