Kien Xuong focuses on implementing 15 targets set out in the Resolution of the District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

On the afternoon of October 17th, the Kien Xuong District Party Committee held a mid-term review meeting on the implementation of the Resolution of the 26th District Party Congress, term 2020-2025.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, and other delegates attended the conference.

Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Pham Dong Thuy, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee; and Vu Ngoc Tri, Provincial Party Committee Member and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

Despite facing many difficulties, with the spirit of unity, consensus, and high determination of the Party Committee, government, and people in the district, Kien Xuong district has achieved important results in all fields during the first half of the 2020-2025 term. Of the 15 targets set in the Resolution of the District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term, Kien Xuong has completed 4 targets; 5 targets have reached over 90%; 4 targets have reached over 70%; and 2 targets have reached under 50%. The economy has maintained and developed stably with a relatively high growth rate of 8.05%, equivalent to 78.9% of the target set in the resolution. To date, Kien Xuong has 6 communes recognized as advanced new rural communes; 6 new cooperatives have been established, including 2 cooperatives currently being invested in to build model cooperatives. The industrial and construction sectors experienced significant growth, averaging 16.88% per year. Industrial clusters in the district were maintained and developed. Cultural and social activities were maintained in an orderly manner and saw new developments. Military and national defense work, ensuring political security, continued to be consolidated and strengthened. Party building and the political system saw many innovations; the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations were gradually improved. Kien Xuong strives for an average annual growth rate of 10.02% or more in production value throughout the term. By 2025, export turnover is expected to reach 118.42 million USD or more; average income will reach 77.38 million VND/person/year; the number of poor households will be reduced by at least one-third; and over 25% of communes will achieve advanced and model new rural area status.

Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, acknowledged and praised the efforts of Kien Xuong district during the first half of the term, while also pointing out limitations, weaknesses, and solutions for overcoming them in the future.

The comrade emphasized: From now until the end of the term, time is running out. To strive to achieve the goals set forth in the Resolution of the District Party Congress, Kien Xuong district needs to review the targets and plans set at the beginning of the term, clearly identify the reasons for unmet targets and those that are difficult to achieve, implement fundamental and breakthrough solutions, and urgently supplement tasks and solutions that are appropriate to the reality of each sector and field, especially those with potential and room for growth; assign specific tasks to each cadre and Party member, while strengthening supervision and inspection of work, and overcoming limitations and weaknesses in implementation. In the coming time, Kien Xuong needs to adopt creative approaches that are appropriate to the reality; focus on economic development in all three sectors: agriculture - fisheries, industry - construction, and trade - services to improve people's lives and create investment resources for development. Actively attract investment, especially into industrial clusters; actively clear land; preserve and develop traditional craft villages, enhance the value of craft products, and create jobs for rural people. Continue to focus on building advanced new rural areas in a substantive way, concentrating on developing production organizations. Pay comprehensive attention to all aspects of culture and society. Continue to promote administrative reform, improve the awareness, attitude, and responsibility of officials and civil servants in performing their duties. Implement comprehensive and effective national defense and security tasks. Continue to synchronously implement tasks and solutions to build a clean and strong Party Committee and political system in the district.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council expressed his wish that the Kien Xuong District Party Committee would continue to unite and strive to successfully implement the tasks and objectives set forth in the Resolution of the District Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.
