The semi-final night of Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 took place on September 11th at Phu Tho Gymnasium (District 11, Ho Chi Minh City) with the bikini and evening gown competitions of 29 contestants. The top 5 in each competition were announced, with Ky Duyen, Mai Ly, and Bao Nhi all making it into the top 5.
To begin, the 29 contestants delivered a spectacular and impressive group performance, proudly shouting the names of their respective hometowns.
The judging panel for the semi-final night included Head Judge Nguyen Thi Thuy Nga and members: Pharmacist Tien, supermodel Thanh Hang, Miss Vietnam Nguyen Huong Giang, Creative Director Ha Do, and First Runner-up Miss Universe 2023 Anntonia Porsild.
In the bikini segment, contestants Nguyen Thi Nga and Doan Tuong Linh made a good impression. Paris Bao Nhi, with a height of 1.73m, impressed with her long, straight hair. Model Do Thu Ha, at 1.78m tall, radiated confidence and had an impressive short hairstyle. Vu Thuy Quynh had an energetic performance, while Nguyen Quynh Anh proved herself to be a "dark horse" of Miss Universe Vietnam 2024, dominating the stage with impressive skills and a perfect physique. Nguyen Cao Ky Duyen showed off her radiant aura in a bikini. Quach Tapiau Maily was equally impressive, showcasing her toned body and confident smile. Finally, Phi Phuong Anh stole the show, making a strong impression in her bikini.
4. “Brother Says Hi” opened the evening gown segment with the song “Sincere .” Against the backdrop of the soulful melody and soothing music, the Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 contestants gracefully showcased their beauty in impressive evening gowns. In the evening gown segment, contestants such as Nguyen Thi Nga, Nguyen Diem My, Truong Gia Han, Nguyen Thanh Hao, Ngo Thi Kieu Trang, Trieu Thien Trang, Nguyen Thi Hong Van… excelled in their performances, confidently walking the runway in stunning dresses.
On the evening of September 12th, at the same time as the crown was announced, representatives of the organizing committee and producers of Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 announced that this year's competition would only have one Miss Universe title and two runner-up titles. The Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 crown, titled "Million Dollar Mission," appeared resplendent in the center of the semi-final stage.
At the end of the semi-final night, MC Nguyen Khang and Miss Bui Quynh Hoa officially announced the top 5 contestants with the best performances in all segments, and the top 5 contestants with the best bikini performances in the Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 semi-final night.
The Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 Grand Finale will take place on September 14th at Phu Tho Gymnasium, where the winner of the 24 million VND crown will be announced.
