The televised program recreates a glorious period of the nation's history.
Due to unfavorable weather conditions caused by rain at both the Dong Thap and Ho Chi Minh City venues, the program started 45 minutes later than the originally planned time of 6 PM.
However, the televised event was still solemn and moving.

Singer Cam Van performs in the televised broadcast.
Lasting over two hours, the program features documentaries and moving stories from real people about a time when students and cadres from the South relocated to the North and were nurtured and educated by the people of the North.
President Ho Chi Minh's affection for the soldiers, compatriots, and students from the South who came to the North to study was also recalled.
It is also a beautiful memory for Professor and writer Trinh Quang Phu and Ms. Le Minh Ngoc, former deputy director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training… students from the South who relocated to the North and had the opportunity to meet President Ho Chi Minh.

During the program, at the Ho Chi Minh City venue, Ms. Tran Viet Hoa – Director of the National Archives Center III – shared about the mementos left behind by cadres who "went to the South" for the Government Unification Committee before their departure.
On this occasion, she brought three sets of documents to return to the families of artists who have made significant contributions to the country.
This is the first set of documents for composer Phan Huỳnh Điểu. During the resistance war against French colonialism, he joined the army and worked in Military Region 5. During this time, he wrote several songs such as "March of Day and Night," "Remembering President Ho Chi Minh," and "My Homeland in the South ."
The second set contains the profile of musician Diep Minh Tuyen – the author of the timeless song "Singing the Marching Song Forever," and the third set contains the profile of writer Nguyen Quang Sang, author and screenwriter of two famous works: the short story "The Ivory Comb" and the film "The Wild Field."
Mr. Nguyen Quang Sang was a cadre from the South who relocated to the North, then went to the Southern battlefield, using his pen to participate in the fight.
The stories told continue to demonstrate the tradition of solidarity of the Vietnamese people from both the North and South, ready to overcome difficulties and hardships to protect and build the country.
