Lam Dong speeds up site clearance for Van Thanh bridge

On the morning of December 2, comrade Nguyen Hong Hai, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to a report on the progress of site clearance for Van Thanh bridge.

Van Thanh Bridge project consists of 6 spans 174m long, total bridge length is 179.8m, bridge width is 19m; in which, the width of the roadway is 15m, the width of the sidewalk and railing on each side is 2m. The approach road is 295.4m long, the roadbed width is 27m, the road surface is 15m, the sidewalk on each side is 6m, the road surface structure is asphalt concrete.

The total investment of the project is 225 billion VND. The construction unit is the joint venture of Hassyu Vietnam Joint Stock Company - Bridge 14 Joint Stock Company - Construction Equipment and Materials Joint Stock Company 624.

The project started in the first quarter of 2023 and was expected to be completed by the end of December 2024, but was extended to the end of 2025. However, the project is still facing problems with land clearance.

Van Thanh Bridge is 55% complete.

The project is currently facing difficulties in setting compensation prices because the land is not in the owner's name, transferred, or alluvial land... Therefore, when setting compensation prices, the people have not agreed. In the 13 remaining cases in Binh Thuan ward, there are 6 cases of handwritten sales and house construction on agricultural land.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai requested Binh Thuan Ward and Land Fund Development Branch No. 1 to resolve the remaining issues before December 15. In case of necessity, enforcement must be carried out and completed before January 10, 2026.

In the remaining cases, it is necessary to develop a plan to disseminate information on resettlement land allocation and early compensation for the people. The No. 1 Disciplinary Action Center supports the ward with legal aspects for enforcement.

Tien Thanh Ward People's Committee reports on site clearance progress

In Tien Thanh ward, the project currently has 8 outstanding cases; of which, 2 cases of alluvial land have been arranged for resettlement. The ward has worked closely on giving households receiving land with specific debt records. The remaining cases need to process legal documents for compensation.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai assigned to complete compensation and resettlement arrangements for the people by December 15. If necessary, enforcement will be carried out.
