On the afternoon of April 25, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Final Round of the International Innovation and Creativity Award - ICIA Global 2025 officially opened.
This is the first time a global education and innovation event has been held in Vietnam, co-organized by Krya Global Education (Indonesia) in collaboration with the School of Technology and Design, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics (UEH), the National Center for Supporting Creative Startups (NSSC), and the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam.
With a global scale, the International Creativity and Innovation Awards 2025 was attended by more than 400 delegates, including 271 students, 93 teachers and 30 startups from 20 countries, along with representatives from ministries,educational institutions, startup support organizations, business founders and international experts.
This award is an annual international education initiative, aiming to foster innovation, problem-solving and global thinking skills for students and young startups around the world.

In 2025, with the theme of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the competition continues to promote its role as a bridge of cross-national creativity - a place to inspire and spread breakthrough solutions from young people.
This year's event takes place over three days from April 25 to 27, offering a series of activities rich in academics, experiences and connections, built on the learning cycle "Inspiring - Creating - Dedicating".
Specifically, international students and teachers can explore training programs and academic spaces at technology labs such as AI Lab, Maker Space, Open Lab, Creative Space, along with innovation and startup support areas such as the Innovation Institute Incubator and international training programs at the UEH School of Technology and Design.
Startups from Vietnam and the region share their entrepreneurial journeys, innovation models, challenges they have overcome, and how to connect theory to practice in business.
Creative training for students and teachers of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, thereby helping students and teachers improve their skills in idea development, presentation and teamwork, core competencies in the creative era.
The Creative Project Exhibition and Startup Exchange gathered more than 130 student projects and 30 startups to present and debate ideas, creating a space for investment connection and spreading international initiatives.
Along with that, there is the Startup Forum - ICIA INNO Talkshow with the participation of prestigious experts to discuss new intersections between technology and humanity in innovation development.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Trinh Thuy Anh, Vice Principal of UEH School of Technology and Design, Head of the Organizing Committee, said that the International Creativity and Innovation Award 2025 is a testament to the strong commitment of Vietnam in general and UEH in particular in promoting innovative education and sustainable development.
“This is not only an opportunity to demonstrate our capacity to organize international events, but also an opportunity to affirm Vietnam's role as a center of knowledge and creative connection in the region,” Associate Professor, Dr. Trinh Thuy Anh emphasized.

The International Creativity and Innovation Awards are designed as a learning platform for young innovators through a series of creative and innovative experiences, organized in the form of competitions and collaborative activities.
These activities are integrated into the World Creativity and Innovation Day (WCID) initiated by the United Nations to honor the spirit of creativity and innovation globally.
