The meeting was attended and chaired by comrades: President Luong Cuong; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh. Also attending and chairing were members of the Politburo : Tran Cam Tu, Standing Member of the Secretariat; Do Van Chien, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Nguyen Xuan Thang, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Political Academy, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council.
Attending the meeting were leaders and former leaders of the Party and State; Secretaries and members of the Central Committee of the Party; leaders of central and local departments, ministries, and agencies; political and social organizations, mass associations, and 300 exemplary delegates from 34 provinces and cities nationwide, representing various social strata, ethnic groups, religions, businesspeople, and exemplary delegates who are Vietnamese people living abroad.
The conference is a significant event, held during a major national holiday, demonstrating the concern of the Party, the State, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front for the immense contributions of all sectors of the population in the cause of national construction and defense.

At the conference, delegates expressed many heartfelt opinions, affirming that the great victories in the struggle for national liberation and reunification in the past, as well as the tremendous achievements in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland today, are due to the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the great President Ho Chi Minh; and the unity and solidarity of the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army. In any period, at any moment, there are always great lessons about promoting the role and strength of the great national unity under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, transforming the latent strength of the people into tangible strength, creating all the victories of the revolution.
The opinions also expressed absolute confidence in the policies and guidelines of the Party and the State, and at the same time suggested that the Party and the State continue to pay attention to and invest in socio-economic development in disadvantaged, mountainous, border, and island areas; train cadres to meet the new requirements in implementing the two-tiered local government, including ethnic minority cadres; attract human resources both domestically and internationally; and continue to improve policies for Vietnamese people living abroad…
In particular, suggestions were made to pay close attention to policies aimed at building national unity.
Speaking at the meeting, President Luong Cuong pointed out that exactly 80 years ago, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the great President Ho Chi Minh, the entire Vietnamese nation rose up to break the chains of slavery and abolish the domination of colonialism and feudalism.

On September 2, 1945, at the historic Ba Dinh Square, President Ho Chi Minh read the immortal Declaration, solemnly proclaiming to the entire nation and the world the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; and from then on, our country and our people entered a new era - the era of independence, freedom, and socialism.
The President emphasized that the great victories achieved in the struggle for national liberation and reunification in the past, as well as in the current cause of building and defending the Fatherland, were due to the synergy of many factors, and one of the particularly important factors is "unity," as beloved President Ho Chi Minh affirmed, "the people are the foundation," and "A hundred times easier without the people, nothing can be achieved - A thousand times harder, with the people, everything can be accomplished."
This is a great lesson about promoting the role and strength of the great national unity, with the Vietnam Fatherland Front as a typical organizational form, broadly gathering all patriotic forces, transforming the latent strength of the people into tangible strength, and achieving all the victories of the revolution.

The President affirmed that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnam Fatherland Front always plays a core political role, serving as a common home that unites all social strata, ethnic groups, religions, and Vietnamese people at home and abroad, creating the invincible strength of the great national unity.
The Party, the State, and the people of Vietnam deeply remember and appreciate the immense contributions of all social strata, organizations, individuals, entrepreneurs, and Vietnamese people at home and abroad; in particular, the working class, farmers, and intellectuals, under the leadership of the Party, have formed the worker-farmer-intellectual alliance, which is a solid socio-political foundation and a pillar of national unity.

In the joyful atmosphere of the historic August days, as the entire Party, people, and army look forward to the momentous occasion of celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2nd, the President of Vietnam is deeply moved to remember and express gratitude for the immense contributions of beloved Uncle Ho - who dedicated his entire life to the Vietnamese people and nation; forever remembering the noble sacrifices and great contributions of the pioneering leaders, heroic martyrs, heroic Vietnamese mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Labor Heroes, wounded and sick soldiers, all strata of the people, ethnic groups, religions, entrepreneurs, and Vietnamese people abroad in the revolutionary cause of national liberation, achieving independence, building and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
Affirming that every victory of the nation stems from the strength of great unity, solidarity, and the unwavering dedication of all strata of the people under the wise leadership of the Party, the President stated that entering a new era, facing great opportunities and challenges, it is even more necessary to strongly promote the patriotism, intelligence, and aspiration for progress of the entire nation, continuing to honor, spread, and promote the great role of the working class, farmers, intellectuals, people of all ethnic groups and religions, entrepreneurs, and overseas Vietnamese in the cause of building a strong, prosperous, civilized, and happy country.
In the context of the entire Party, people, and army striving to overcome all difficulties and challenges, seizing every opportunity, and confidently entering a new era – an era of strong, prosperous, and happy development for the Vietnamese nation – the President stated that we are resolutely implementing three strategic breakthroughs: institutional reform; training high-quality human resources; and building modern and synchronized infrastructure. Simultaneously, we are focusing on a revolution to streamline and improve the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of the political system's operations; implementing a two-tiered local government model; and simultaneously pursuing breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation, and national digital transformation; promoting comprehensive and in-depth international integration; breakthroughs in lawmaking and enforcement; and developing the private economy, considering it the most important driving force of the national economy.
The President emphasized that, throughout this journey, the lessons of patriotism, revolutionary spirit, unity, and dedication of previous generations remain invaluable for today and tomorrow. With unwavering revolutionary spirit, experience, strong political acumen, and high prestige forged over the years, the exemplary representatives of all strata of the people will serve as shining examples, continuing to contribute their hearts, minds, and experience to the cause of building and firmly defending the Vietnamese Fatherland.

The President requested the Vietnam Fatherland Front to continue to play its core political role in building and consolidating the invincible strength of the great national unity; constantly innovate the content and methods of its activities to gather, unite, and broadly unite all strata of the people, ethnic groups, religions, business people, and overseas Vietnamese; strongly awaken the spirit of patriotism, self-reliance, self-improvement, and the aspiration for development; build trust and create social consensus; and promote the wisdom, resources, and leading role of the people in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland. The Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels needs to be more proactive and creative in promoting the role and intellect of exemplary individuals and groups among all strata of the people, ethnic minorities, religious communities, businesspeople, and overseas Vietnamese, contributing to the education of traditions, fostering revolutionary ideals, and inspiring the aspirations of the younger generation to contribute to the glorious revolutionary cause of the nation in the new era.
On this occasion, in recognition and encouragement of outstanding individuals who have contributed to building national unity, the leaders of the Party, State, and Vietnam Fatherland Front presented gifts to the exemplary delegates.
