Da Tro village is located in the center of Lac Duong commune (Lam Dong province), with a population mainly consisting of ethnic minorities. The lives of the people mainly depend on agricultural production, with coffee being the main crop, and on contracted forest management and protection, which still presents many difficulties. However, in recent years, many households in the area have boldly switched to crops that yield higher economic returns, such as vegetables, beans, strawberries, and artichokes.
To achieve this transformation, the Party cell of Da Tro village has consistently played a leading role, effectively implementing directives and resolutions among the people. Party members in the cell have set a good example in emulation movements, restructuring crop and livestock production, and increasing agricultural output, so that households in the village can learn from and follow their example.
According to Thang Nai Thuy, Secretary of the Party Branch of Da Tro village, leading the people in economic development is identified by the village Party Committee and branch as one of their key tasks. First and foremost is mobilizing the people to change the crop structure and develop production linkage models to help increase income.
“To enhance the leadership and guidance role of the Party branch, first and foremost, we always foster unity and cohesion from the Party committee level; promoting the exemplary and leading role of the heads of the Party branches, associations, and Party members. During monthly meetings, the Party branch always dedicates time to discussing and proposing solutions for economic development that are appropriate to the local situation. The Party branch assigns each Party member to coordinate with village departments and organizations to organize propaganda and mobilization efforts to encourage people to apply mechanization to production, transform the structure of crops and livestock, and guide people to participate in economic development models, contributing to increasing people's income,” shared Thang Nai Thuy, Secretary of the Da Tro Village Party Branch.
To gradually improve the lives of the people, the cadres and Party members of the Da Tro village Party branch always practice what they preach in leading, directing, and directly participating with the people in building, implementing, and maintaining effective socio-economic development models.
Comrade Ya Tiong, Secretary of the Party Committee of Lac Duong commune, assessed: "The Party branch of Da Tro village is one of the exemplary branches in leading and directing the implementation of all local tasks. Especially in economic development, the branch has provided comprehensive leadership, contributing to changing the face of the rural area. In particular, the comrades in the Party committee and Party members have demonstrated a spirit of responsibility, pioneering, and exemplary leadership."
