Leaders of Vung Tau ward (HCMC) met and listened to the sharing of religious dignitaries

On the afternoon of July 10, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vung Tau Ward, Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting with religious dignitaries and management representatives of folk belief establishments.

The leaders of Vung Tau ward, including comrades Nguyen Tan Ban, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of the ward; Le Thi Thanh Binh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the ward; Bui Van Hy, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of the ward; and Vu Dang Khoa, Chairman of the Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, met with 120 religious dignitaries and representatives of folk religious establishments in the ward.

The ward leaders listened to the sharing and suggestions of religious dignitaries and representatives of folk religious establishments to build a more developed Vung Tau ward.

Speaking at the meeting, Venerable Thich Thien Thong, Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Buddhist Association of Ho Chi Minh City and Abbot of Lien Tri Pagoda, requested the Vung Tau ward authorities to support religious and folk belief establishments in expediting procedures for granting land use certificates and construction permits for religious facilities, so that these facilities can be renovated, repaired, and religious activities can be organized stably.

Some officials suggested that the ward continue to focus on improving its appearance to attract more tourists. At the same time, they emphasized the importance of economic development to create jobs for the local people.

Venerable Thich Thien Thong, Deputy Secretary General of the Vietnam Buddhist Association in Ho Chi Minh City and Abbot of Lien Tri Pagoda, requested Vung Tau ward to support religious establishments in expediting the issuance of land use right certificates.

Speaking at the gathering, Comrade Nguyen Tan Ban, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Vung Tau Ward, affirmed that the meeting demonstrated the responsibility, close ties, and companionship of the ward government with religions and folk beliefs.

Vung Tau Ward is home to many religious organizations, with nearly 100 temples, monasteries, and churches. Comrade Nguyen Tan Ban expressed his hope that religious leaders and representatives of folk beliefs would continue to cooperate with the government, contributing to the strong development of Vung Tau Ward in tourism and services; and fostering ethical and civilized people in Vung Tau, making it a desirable place to live.

Comrade Nguyen Tan Ban instructed the Chairman of the People's Committee of the ward to direct departments and units to review religious establishments that are still facing difficulties in implementing land procedures and construction permit procedures, and to assign officials and civil servants to accompany and support religious establishments in carrying out related administrative procedures.
