Dong Nai province leaders work with Sovi Company on relocation plan from Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park

(DN) - On the afternoon of October 27, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang worked with Bien Hoa Packaging Joint Stock Company (Sovi) regarding the relocation of the factory from Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park.

A representative from Sovi Company stated: "In the past, the company has always complied with the province's policies and legal regulations. The company has prepared two locations to relocate the factory from Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park. The company hopes to be considered for permission to continue operating until the end of this year."

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang emphasized: The policy of relocating businesses from Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park has been implemented by the province since 2009. By 2021, this industrial park was officially removed from the list of industrial parks in Vietnam. To implement this policy, the Provincial People's Committee issued a plan and implementation schedule, and to date, most businesses have relocated.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that relocating the factory and converting the function of Bien Hoa 1 Industrial Park is a strategic task aimed at improving the environment and changing the urban landscape of Dong Nai. The provincial leaders hope that businesses will agree with this major policy and relocate their factories to a location that conforms to the planning. The province will continue to support businesses during the relocation process as well as in their production activities at the new location.

Regarding the businesses' requests, the Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Provincial Land Development Center and the Provincial Industrial Parks and Economic Zones Management Board to review relevant documents and provide clear answers to the businesses.
