Inspecting the work of preventing storm No. 3, the working group assessed that units have proactively deployed storm prevention and control measures, ensuring absolute safety of facilities, weapons and equipment.

Rear Admiral Tran Xuan Van, Political Commissar of Naval Region 1, inspected and mobilized the mobile force for natural disaster prevention and search and rescue at Battalion 472 (Brigade 147).

Rear Admiral Tran Xuan Van requested units to proactively monitor and grasp the storm's developments; urgently review and provide sufficient supplies and equipment for storm and flood prevention, search and rescue; strictly maintain duty schedules at all levels and search and rescue forces; proactively coordinate with local authorities to be ready to perform tasks in all situations.

The working group inspected storm prevention and control work at Battalion 158.

At the storm shelter at sea, the working group also instructed units to review, adjust and supplement storm prevention, search and rescue plans and specific plans for each force when situations arise; especially ensuring safety of people and equipment, minimizing damage caused by storms.

On this occasion, the Chief of Naval Region 1 Command awarded certificates of merit from the Political Commissar of the Navy to collectives and individuals who had outstanding achievements in performing the search and rescue mission of the QN-7105 Tourist Ship (Green Bay); requested units to continue to be on duty and ready to support localities and people to overcome the consequences of the ship sinking.
