During the inspection of storm prevention and control efforts related to typhoon No. 3, the working group assessed that the units had proactively implemented storm prevention and control measures, ensuring the absolute safety of facilities, weapons, and equipment.

Rear Admiral Tran Xuan Van, Political Commissar of Naval Region 1, inspected and encouraged the mobile forces for disaster prevention and search and rescue at Battalion 472 (Brigade 147).

Rear Admiral Tran Xuan Van requested that units proactively monitor and closely track the development of the storm; urgently review and supplement sufficient quantities of supplies and equipment for storm and flood prevention and search and rescue; strictly maintain the duty roster at all levels and for search and rescue forces; and proactively coordinate with local authorities to be ready to perform tasks in all situations.

The working group inspected storm prevention and control work at Battalion 158.

At the offshore storm shelter, the working group also instructed the units to review, adjust, and supplement storm prevention and search and rescue plans, as well as specific plans for each force in case of emergencies; especially ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment, and minimizing damage caused by the storm.

On this occasion, the Commander of the 1st Naval Region Command presented certificates of commendation from the Political Commissar of the Navy to collectives and individuals who had achieved outstanding and exceptional results in the search and rescue mission for the tourist ship QN-7105 (Green Bay); and requested units to continue to be on standby, ready to support the local authorities and people in overcoming the consequences of the shipwreck.
