On November 15, information from the People's Committee of Vinh Cuu District (Dong Nai) said that the district will coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai to organize the "Tan Trieu Grapefruit Fragrance" festival. This is the first grapefruit festival to be held in Dong Nai province.

According to the plan, the "Tan Trieu Grapefruit Fragrance" festival is expected to be held from January 16 to January 19, 2025 at the Cultural, Sports and Community Learning Center of Tan Binh Commune, Vinh Cuu District. The festival will feature activities such as: Organizing exhibitions and introducing grapefruit products, fruits, typical products, OCOP products, typical agricultural products and cultural - artistic, physical education and sports activities.

According to the organizers, the Festival is an opportunity to connect cultural activities and introduce grapefruit products and tourism products of the district on the occasion of welcoming the New Year and the Lunar New Year of At Ty in 2025, while also promoting and exploiting Tan Trieu Cultural - Tourism Village.

Tan Trieu grapefruit village is a small island surrounded by Dong Nai river in Vinh Hiep hamlet, Tan Binh commune, Vinh Cuu district. The village was formed around 1868 - 1869. With special soil favored by nature, along with alluvial deposits from Dong Nai river, the land here is very fertile and especially suitable for the development of grapefruit trees, the main crop that brings high economic value to the people of this island. In addition to natural conditions, Tan Trieu grapefruit trees have been carefully cared for by farmers, meeting VietGap and GlobalGap standards.

Tan Trieu grapefruit village has about 400 hectares of grapefruit, mainly orange-leaf grapefruit, green-skin grapefruit, guava grapefruit, smooth-skin grapefruit... The price of Tan Trieu grapefruit fluctuates seasonally and yearly. Especially, during the Lunar New Year, the price of grapefruit can reach 1 - 1.2 million VND/dozen (12 fruits). In addition, grapefruit here is processed into many other products such as grapefruit wine, grapefruit jam, grapefruit salad, grapefruit spring rolls, grapefruit tea...

For many years, Tan Trieu grapefruit village has formed ecological areas to welcome tourists to visit, experience and enjoy grapefruit specialties.
