Tan Trieu Pomelo Village is a small island surrounded by the Dong Nai River, located in Vinh Hiep hamlet, Tan Binh commune, Vinh Cuu district. The village was established around 1868-1869. With its unique soil, blessed by nature and enriched by alluvial deposits from the Dong Nai River, the land here is very fertile and particularly suitable for the cultivation of pomelo trees, the main crop that brings high economic value to the people of this island. In addition to favorable natural conditions, Tan Trieu pomelo trees are meticulously cared for by farmers, meeting VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards.
Tan Trieu pomelo village has about 400 hectares of pomelo orchards, mainly with varieties such as sweet pomelo with orange leaves, green-skinned pink-fleshed pomelo, guava-shaped pomelo, and smooth-skinned pomelo… The price of Tan Trieu pomelos fluctuates seasonally and annually. Especially during the Lunar New Year, the price can reach 1-1.2 million VND per dozen (12 fruits). In addition, pomelos from this area are processed into many other products such as pomelo wine, pomelo jam, pomelo salad, pomelo spring rolls, and pomelo tea…
For many years, Tan Trieu pomelo village has developed eco-tourism areas to welcome visitors to explore, experience, and enjoy the local pomelo specialty.
