At the training session, Colonel Phan Tung Son, a journalist and Deputy Head of the Southern Representative Office of the People's Army Newspaper, shared some experiences and skills in opening columns, building a force, and organizing the writing of articles to combat and refute erroneous viewpoints and protect the ideological foundation of the Party.

He also affirmed that, in the skill of writing political essays to defend the Party's ideological foundation, the method of struggle must adhere closely to the Party's guiding principles, steadfastly and creatively apply and develop Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, the goal of national independence and socialism, and remain steadfast in the Party's reform line and the principles of Party building to build and firmly defend the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
In writing, it is essential to identify the target audience as the people, building a foundation with the people to gain their trust. Writers need to closely adhere to the relationship between construction and opposition, between protection and struggle, between affirmation and refutation, especially the principle of using construction to counter opposition.
The effectiveness of combating and refuting erroneous and hostile viewpoints, and protecting the Party's ideological foundation, should be demonstrated through articles and products on media outlets and the internet, not through reports.
Besides enhancing skills, the methods of organizing news articles should focus on promoting achievements and positive information on personal and community pages to spread patriotism and national unity.
