TPO - Phu Quy Express ship has just announced that it will temporarily stop operating the sea route from Phan Thiet City to Phu Quy Island and vice versa.
The operator said the reason for this suspension is to replace the train with a new one that is faster, more modern, and has better service quality, while shortening travel time, ensuring maritime safety, and providing more convenience for passengers.
The suspension is expected to last 12 months. It is known that the suspension of the Phan Thiet - Phu Quy route of this unit is also to focus on exploiting the Ho Chi Minh City - Con Dao route which has just been licensed.
Previously, the Phu Quy Island ship also announced a temporary suspension of operations and it is unclear when it will resume operations.
Thus, the sea route from Phan Thiet to Phu Quy currently has only 3 high-speed boats continuing to operate, including 1 Trung Trac boat with a capacity of 598 passengers and 2 Superdong boats with a capacity of 572 passengers.
