Mang Den "sold out", food service overloaded during Lunar New Year

(Dan Tri) - During the Lunar New Year holidays, all hotels and homestays in Mang Den town, Kon Plong district, Kon Tum province reported "full rooms", many food and beverage services were often overloaded.


On February 1, the Center for Culture, Sports, Tourism and Communications of Kon Plong district said that more than 2,000 rooms at accommodation facilities in Mang Den town were fully booked during the Lunar New Year holiday.

According to information from the center, accommodation facilities have announced that they are fully booked from before Tet until the 5th day of Tet.

Mang Den not only attracts tourists by its natural beauty but also by the cherry blossom season right on Tet holiday. To serve tourists, Kon Plong district has organized many cultural and artistic programs at the market and night street of Mang Den.

The district has also created a rock music night program and invited singers, artists, and bands from within and outside the province to perform. At the same time, gong and xoang dance performances imbued with national identity will also be held until the 5th day of the Lunar New Year 2025.

Mr. Tran The Tat, owner of T&T Hotel in Mang Den town, said that more than 50 rooms were booked before Tet. The hotel has built additional community accommodation to serve tourists.

Mr. Bui Viet Ha, Chairman of Mang Den Tourism Association, said that all accommodation facilities, restaurants, and tourist attractions are overloaded. Many roads leading to tourist attractions are partially congested.

Traffic police have set up checkpoints to regulate tourists and avoid congestion. The tourism association also advised restaurants not to increase prices and squeeze customers.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Kon Tum province, Kon Plong district has 139 accommodation establishments with a capacity of serving 6,000 guests/day and night. Not only during the Lunar New Year, but also on weekends, Mang Den is in a state of full rooms.

Faced with this situation, the department has requested the locality to mobilize spare rooms in the surrounding area, ensuring that no guests stay on the streets. At the same time, the locality has also proactively arranged forces to regulate traffic and strictly manage tourist attractions and hotel systems, ensuring food safety and hygiene.
