Meta deploys advanced AI to optimize the Metaverse virtual universe experience

On December 12, Meta announced the launch of a new artificial intelligence model called Meta Motivo, which can control the movements of human-like digital agents, opening up the potential to enhance the experience in the Metaverse.

Meta also emphasizes the importance of AI research in paving the way for fully embodied digital agents in the Metaverse. This could lead to more human-like NPCs (non-player characters), expanded character animation capabilities, and entirely new immersive experiences.

One of the key developments is the introduction of Meta Motivo, an AI model designed to address the body control issues common in digital avatars. Meta Motivo helps these agents perform more natural and realistic movements that feel more human.

In addition to Meta Motivo, Meta also announced a new AI model called the Large Concept Model, which focuses on “separating reasoning from language expression.” This is a significant improvement over conventional large language models.

According to Meta, instead of predicting each next word, the Big Concept Model is designed to predict the next concept or high-level idea, represented by a complete sentence in a multimodal and multilingual embedding space. This approach not only improves machine understanding but also opens up many opportunities in applying AI to more complex domains.

Meta has also released other AI tools, including Video Seal, a technology that adds a hidden watermark to videos. This watermark is invisible to the naked eye but can be tracked, providing more effective copyright protection and content tracking.

With huge investments and groundbreaking innovations, Meta is gradually shaping the future of Metaverse and AI applications, bringing huge potential to both technology and global users.
