As the core of the engineering force of Military Region 9, the 25th Engineering Brigade carries out many important tasks: Building national defense works; clearing bombs, mines, and explosives left over from the war; coordinating with localities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, search and rescue, participating in new rural construction and carrying out other urgent political tasks... In such a special environment with many difficulties and dangers, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style is not just a slogan but has become a driving force for each officer and soldier to strive to fulfill their tasks well.

In carrying out the task of bomb and mine clearance, each year, the 25th Engineer Brigade clears more than 30 hectares of land contaminated with bombs and mines, handling thousands of explosives of all kinds. Many tasks take place in remote areas, rugged terrain, harsh weather with high intensity and absolute safety requirements. Officers and soldiers of the unit always keep in mind the command "entering the battle is absolutely safe", implementing the motto of action "cautious - disciplined - regular", not allowing any mistakes, even the smallest ones. Major Truong Cong Bien, Captain of the Bomb, Mine and Explosive Object Clearance Team, shared: "We often remind each other to learn from Uncle Ho about resilience, but absolutely not to be subjective. A decision is related to one, even many lives. Therefore, we learn from Uncle Ho not about lofty things but about calmness, caution, dedication and responsibility to the end in every small action".

Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in the 25th Engineer Brigade is also reflected in the command style, building discipline, training discipline, in military-civilian relations, and caring for soldiers' lives in border areas, remote areas and islands. Cadres in charge at all levels set an example through concrete actions; units effectively implemented the emulation movement linking studying and following Uncle Ho with building a healthy, disciplined military cultural environment rich in the identity of Uncle Ho's soldiers.

Colonel Lam Quang Hop, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the 25th Engineer Brigade, said: “We clearly identify that studying and following Uncle Ho must become a personal need, a driving force, a training criterion and a measure of the political mettle of each officer and soldier in the Brigade. Learning from Uncle Ho means learning from the simplest things, from words to actions, from attitude to responsibility in each task, each training ground and each project.”

From that awareness, the Party Committee and Brigade commanders have synchronously implemented the contents according to the directives, resolutions, and conclusions of the superiors on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style; concretizing them into practical and effective action programs, closely linked to the unit's reality. Every year, 100% of officers and soldiers register to study and follow Uncle Ho, taking the training results as criteria for emulation assessment and reward consideration. The learning content is closely linked to the implementation of the unit's political tasks, with training the qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, fighting against individualism, building a healthy cultural environment and a comprehensively strong unit "exemplary, typical".

In addition, practical models and movements such as: "How does my Party cell learn from Uncle Ho?", "Young engineers act following Uncle Ho's example", "One beautiful action each week", "Volunteer Friday for the people"... have been widely deployed, creating a regular routine, contributing to improving the quality of performing political tasks.

Lieutenant Colonel Vo Phuc Vinh, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of Battalion 4, shared: “Studying and following Uncle Ho is integrated into political activities, thematic study sessions, weekly meetings, group and squad meetings as well as in each practical task outside the training ground and construction sites. Each content is designed so that officers and soldiers can deeply relate to their daily work, thereby clearly identifying what they need to learn from Uncle Ho and how to learn it to be practical, suitable for their work position and assigned tasks.”

Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style to the soldiers of the 25th Engineer Brigade are not abstract things. It is the will to dare to go ahead in dangerous places, the spirit of saying what you do, the quality of daring to take on difficult tasks and do heavy work. From learning from Uncle Ho, each officer and soldier of the Brigade is gradually maturing in character, morality, lifestyle, responsibility and is a bright spot in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style.
