As the core of the engineering force of Military Region 9, the 25th Engineering Brigade carries out many important tasks: constructing national defense projects; clearing bombs, mines, and unexploded ordnance left over from the war; coordinating with local authorities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters, search and rescue operations, participating in the construction of new rural areas, and performing other urgent political tasks... In this unique environment with many difficulties and dangers, learning and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh is not just a slogan but has become a driving force for action, enabling each officer and soldier to strive to successfully complete their tasks.

In carrying out bomb and mine clearance missions, the 25th Engineering Brigade clears over 30 hectares of land contaminated with bombs and mines each year, handling thousands of explosive devices of various types. Many missions take place in remote areas, rugged terrain, and harsh weather conditions, with high intensity and absolute safety requirements. The unit's officers and soldiers always remember the order "absolute safety is paramount," and adhere to the motto "caution - discipline - regularity," ensuring no mistakes, however small, occur. Major Truong Cong Bien, Team Leader of the Bomb and Mine Clearance Team, shared: "We constantly remind each other to learn from Uncle Ho's resilience, but never to be complacent. A decision affects one, or even many, lives. Therefore, we learn from Uncle Ho not in lofty matters, but in calmness, caution, dedication, and unwavering responsibility in every small action."
The study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style in the 25th Engineering Brigade is also reflected in its command style, the building of a regular army, the training of discipline, the relationship between the military and the people, and the care for the lives of soldiers in border areas, remote regions, and islands. Leading officers at all levels set an example through concrete actions; units effectively implement emulation movements linking the study and emulation of Uncle Ho with building a healthy, regular, and distinctive military cultural environment of the Ho Chi Minh Army.
Colonel Lam Quang Hop, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of the 25th Engineering Brigade, stated: “We clearly understand that studying and following Uncle Ho's teachings must become a self-driven need, a driving force for striving, a criterion for training, and a measure of the political fortitude of each officer and soldier in the Brigade. Learning from Uncle Ho means learning from the simplest things, from words to deeds, from attitude to responsibility in every task, every training ground, and every project.”
Based on that understanding, the Party Committee and the Brigade's command have implemented comprehensively the contents of directives, resolutions, and conclusions from higher authorities on promoting the study and emulation of Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality, and style; concretizing them into practical and effective action programs closely linked to the unit's reality. Annually, 100% of officers and soldiers register to study and emulate Uncle Ho, using the results of their training as criteria for evaluating emulation and awarding commendations. The learning content is closely linked to the unit's political tasks, to cultivating the qualities of a "Ho Chi Minh's Soldier," combating individualism, building a healthy cultural environment, and creating a comprehensively strong, exemplary, and outstanding unit.
In addition, practical models and movements such as: "How does my Party branch learn from Uncle Ho?", "Young engineers acting according to Uncle Ho's example", "One beautiful act each week", "Volunteer Friday for the people"... have been widely implemented, creating a regular routine and contributing to improving the quality of political task performance.
Lieutenant Colonel Vo Phuc Vinh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Political Commissar of Battalion 4, shared: “The study and emulation of Uncle Ho's teachings are integrated into political activities, thematic studies, weekly briefings, squad and platoon meetings, as well as into each practical task outside the training ground and on construction sites. Each content is designed so that officers and soldiers can deeply relate it to their daily work, thereby clearly identifying what they need to learn from Uncle Ho and how to learn it in a way that is practical, appropriate to their position and assigned tasks.”
For the soldiers of the 25th Engineering Brigade, Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style are not abstract concepts. They embody the will to be at the forefront of danger, the spirit of matching words with actions, and the quality of daring to undertake difficult and arduous tasks. Through learning from President Ho, each officer and soldier of the Brigade is gradually maturing in character, ethics, lifestyle, and responsibility, becoming a shining example in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style.
