An 11th grade student in Ho Chi Minh City lost contact with his family.

Social media is abuzz with information shared from a post by a parent on October 6th, announcing the loss of contact with a student in Ho Chi Minh City. The post has received hundreds of shares on social media.

Speaking to Tuoi Tre Online , the author of the article, Ms. Le Thi Bich Thao - the aunt of student Le Thi Minh Thu (born in 2008) - updated that as of the afternoon of October 9th, the family had still not been able to contact the student. After inquiring further with friends, the family still had no further clues about Minh Thu's whereabouts.

According to information from her family, Le Thi Minh Thu is a student at Nguyen Van Linh High School (District 8). Her family has been unable to contact her since the afternoon of October 4th. When she left, she was wearing her school's physical education uniform, a blue and black checkered jacket, and riding a blue Sirius motorbike with license plate 93B1-812.46.

"She showed no unusual behavior before. It was only last Friday, after she went to her physical education class, that she didn't come home. The family is now extremely worried," said Ms. Bich Thao.

Minh Thư's family stated that she lives with her parents on Binh Tri Dong Street, Binh Tri Dong A Ward, Binh Tan District. Thư's parents work for a family-owned company.

The family said they have contacted authorities in District 8 and Binh Tan District, but so far they have received no information about the student.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Si, the principal of Nguyen Van Linh High School, confirmed that Minh Thu has not attended school since October 4, 2024. The school has received information from the parents and is assisting in providing further details.

Mr. Si added that Minh Thu is currently in class 11C7. The homeroom teacher is also monitoring for updates from the family.
