Nga Son launched "Month of action on occupational safety and hygiene", "Workers' Month" in 2024

On May 14, Nga Son District People's Committee coordinated with the District Labor Federation to organize the launching ceremony of "Month of action on occupational safety and hygiene", "Workers' Month"; launching a peak emulation campaign to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024).

To continue promoting the effectiveness of the "Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene" and "Workers' Month" in 2024, the leaders of Nga Son District People's Committee requested that trade unions at all levels proactively coordinate with the authorities and specialized agencies to regularly inspect the implementation of occupational safety and hygiene in enterprises and production and business establishments in the area. Continue to perform well the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers; promptly advise the Party Committee on orienting public opinion, resolving pressing issues among union members and workers; organize activities to visit and help union members and workers in difficult circumstances...

It is recommended that businesses, units, and employers pay attention to improving working conditions, especially regarding salary, employment, health insurance, social insurance policies, and take care to ensure the best social welfare for employees. Regularly review the development of internal regulations for implementing occupational safety and hygiene measures at businesses in each stage, process, and production line, in order to improve labor quality and production quality.

Union members and workers are requested to raise awareness of labor discipline, strictly comply with regulations, procedures, and labor safety and hygiene measures. Proactively self-study, self-practice, improve professional qualifications, skills, safe working skills, industrial working style to quickly adapt to modern working conditions and integration, meet the requirements of innovation and creativity of units and enterprises to achieve the highest efficiency in labor production.

At the launching ceremony, leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Nga Son District People's Committee and the District Federation of Labor presented 160 gifts to union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances, worth over 210 million VND.
