(Dan Tri) - On the first day of the holiday, tourism revenue of An Giang province reached 142 billion VND. The whole province welcomed nearly 78,000 visitors, of which Phu Quoc had 22,486 visitors.

An Giang Provincial Department of Tourism has reported on tourism activities on the first day of National Day, September 2.

Accordingly, An Giang province is estimated to welcome 77,392 visitors, up 1.1% over the same period. Of which, there are 4,865 international visitors, down 0.4%.

The number of visitors to tourist areas and attractions reached 61,457, up 0.1%, while the number of overnight visitors was 15,935, up 4.8%. Total revenue from tourism reached 142 billion VND, up 29.9% over the same period.

In Phu Quoc special zone alone, it is estimated that 22,486 visitors (accounting for nearly 30% of the province's total tourists) were welcomed, an increase of 5.9% over the same period. The number of international visitors reached 4,856, an increase of 0.5%, and the number of overnight guests reached 6,563, an increase of 2.9%.
