'Cashless Day' receives Ho Hao Hon Award 2024

The Ho Hao Hon Award 2024 was presented at the program commemorating the 93rd anniversary of the founding of the Youth Union (March 26) at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural Center.

Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union Nguyen Pham Duy Trang, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Phuoc Loc, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan, along with leaders of various departments and agencies, attended the event.

Many positive activities were noted during Youth Month.

Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan congratulated the collectives honored with the Ho Hao Hon Award. He said that the city's leaders acknowledge many activities and initiatives that have brought many positive results during Youth Month 2024.

Mr. Hoan emphasized that youth work is not just the responsibility of an individual or a group, but the responsibility of the entire community.

"We need to create an environment that supports, encourages, and motivates the creativity of the Youth Union, Youth Association, and Children's Union. City departments, agencies, and organizations need to focus on developing policies, mechanisms, and resources to support young people in having the opportunity to realize their ideas and initiatives," Mr. Hoan stated.

The Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee also noted that state management agencies and youth affairs agencies need to work alongside and create conditions for young people to develop their full potential, contributing to building Ho Chi Minh City into an increasingly civilized and modern city, worthy of being the city honored to bear the name of the beloved President Ho Chi Minh.

Creative approaches and continuous innovation in operations.

According to Ngo Minh Hai, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, the 12 Ho Hao Hon Award winners are practical models and solutions that have been successfully applied in practice.

Each model and solution is the culmination of dynamism, creativity, and continuous innovation in activities to better meet the development needs of the youth of Ho Chi Minh City.

On this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Employment Service Center was awarded the First Class Labor Medal. In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural Center and Mr. Le Hoang Minh (Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Supporting Young Workers) received commendations from the Prime Minister .

- The Ho Chi Minh City Excellent Youth Union Secretary Competition from 2009 to present (Organizing and Inspection Committee of the City Youth Union).

- The Student and Youth Skills Competition from 2004 to the present (School Youth Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Employment Service Center).

- Ho Chi Minh City Children's Council from 2016 to present (Ho Chi Minh City Youth Council).

- The "Singing about the Red Flower Era" cultural program from 2013 to the present (Department of Propaganda and Foreign Affairs and Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural Center).

- International Student Science Forum from 2016 to present (Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City, Center for the Development of Young Scientists and Technologists, Youth Union Committee of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City).

- The "Cashless Day" program has been held annually on June 16th since 2019 ( Tuoi Tre newspaper).

- The "Springtime Bus" program from 2002 to present (Ho Chi Minh City Student Support Center).

- The Ho Chi Minh Heritage Book Collection for Young People from 1999 to the present (Youth Publishing House Co., Ltd.).

- The project "Young police officers actively participate in preventing and combating crimes related to illegal lending in Ho Chi Minh City" from 2019 to present (Ho Chi Minh City Police Youth Union).

- The "I save money in a piggy bank - 60 days of saving for the maritime and island borders" model from 2014 to the present (District 8 Youth Council).

- The solution "Utilizing post-production materials to build playgrounds for underprivileged students" from 2018 to present (An Lac Mechanical Automobile Enterprise Team).

- Solution: "Strengthening political and ideological education for union members and young people through studying political theory lessons 'number 5' from 2020 to the present (Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education).
