SEA Games 33 Diary, December 11th: Gymnastics wins a double gold medal.

(Dan Tri Newspaper) - After Dang Ngoc Xuan Thien "opened the scoring" for Vietnamese gymnastics at the SEA Games 33 in the pommel horse event, it was Nguyen Van Khanh Phong's turn to win the gold medal in the rings event.

On the first day of competition, athletes from the Vietnamese Sports Delegation won 4 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 16 bronze medals, ranking 4th in the overall medal standings. The 4 gold medals were won by athletes in Canoeing, Taekwondo, swimming, and petanque.

On today's competition day (December 11th), athletes will participate in the qualifying and final rounds in many sports such as badminton, pétanque, baseball, 3x3 basketball, kayak and canoe racing, chess, etc. With many strong sports like swimming, athletics, boxing, judo, and jiu-jitsu... holding finals, the Vietnamese sports delegation can certainly aim to significantly increase the number of medals to improve its position on the overall medal table.
