On the morning of September 2nd, at Tien Sa naval port in Da Nang , Brigade 172 of the 3rd Naval Region held a ceremony to admit new Party members on the occasion of National Day. The two outstanding individuals admitted this time were professional soldier Hoang Ngoc Tuan, artillery squad leader, Ship 277, and Lieutenant Le Bat Thang, artillery officer, Ship 331.
Comrade Hoang Ngoc Tuan shared: “As a soldier, I feel more proud than ever to stand in the ranks of the Communist Party of Vietnam today, the vanguard of the working class, the laboring people, and the entire Vietnamese nation. I, and every soldier and Party member, will continuously study and train in political acumen, revolutionary ethics, professional skills, and work style, ready to accept and successfully complete all assigned tasks to be worthy of the trust and love of the Party, the State, and the people.”

Adhering closely to the requirements and tasks during the National Day holiday, Brigade 172, Region 3 of the Navy, thoroughly implemented orders, directives, and guidelines from higher levels regarding combat readiness. The unit fully developed and practiced various plans; strictly maintained discipline and duty rosters at all levels; regularly conducted inspections and ensured the uniformity and combat readiness of weapons and technical equipment, ready to perform missions at sea, preventing any unexpected situations.
In addition, Brigade 172 effectively organized cultural, artistic, and sports activities within the unit, creating a beneficial playground during long holidays, building solidarity and cohesion within the unit, and directly contributing to improving the spiritual life of officers and soldiers.

Earlier, in Tra Kot commune, Bac Tra My district, Quang Nam province, Brigade 161 of the 3rd Naval Region, in coordination with the Quang Nam Provincial Youth Union, organized the "Green Dream-Enhancing Coat" program in 2024.
The program was supported by youth union members of Quang Nam province; the News Department of the Voice of Vietnam Radio; the Religious Publishing House; several benevolent individuals and families of officers and soldiers of Brigade 161, who donated and provided 50 gifts and 10 scholarships to children in extremely difficult circumstances, and more than 200 sets of clothes, 100kg of rice, and 50 sets of comic books to Tran Phu Ethnic Boarding Primary and Secondary School in Tra Kot commune, Bac Tra My district, Quang Nam province.
The "Green Dream-Boosting Coat" program is a meaningful humanitarian activity held in preparation for the new school year, aiming to encourage, motivate, and support disadvantaged students to strive for success in their studies and lives.

At the same time, it contributes to raising awareness and responsibility among officers and soldiers throughout the 3rd Naval Region and its affiliated units regarding the protection, care, and education of children.
