On the morning of November 26th, the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee held a conference to gather feedback on the draft announcement of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee at the year-end regular session of the 18th Provincial People's Council. Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Mass Mobilization Department and Chairwoman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, presided over the conference.
In preparation for the 2024 year-end session of the 18th Provincial People's Council, the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, in coordination with the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Council, compiled numerous opinions and recommendations from voters and the people of the province through meetings with voters held by the Provincial People's Council representatives and the Fatherland Front system at all levels and its member organizations. At the conference, delegates highly appreciated the province's leadership and management in the fields of socio -economic development, national defense, and security; the policies on administrative procedure reform and the investment and business environment; and acknowledged that the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee had comprehensively compiled the opinions, recommendations, thoughts, and aspirations of voters submitted to the Provincial People's Council session.

The delegates contributed many opinions to the draft announcement, including suggesting that the province focus intensely on reorganizing administrative units; reviewing and developing plans for utilizing unused administrative agencies; and implementing policies to support elderly people without income or caregivers, as well as providing assistance to elderly people in difficult circumstances who do not have health insurance.
The delegates suggested that the province provide specific guidance on waste sorting at source; review the waste treatment plan and promptly invest in the construction of waste treatment plants; and strictly manage environmental issues for livestock and timber processing projects in mountainous districts to prevent the discharge of pollutants. The delegates also requested that the province reorganize and reassign staff in the administrative procedures reception department for greater efficiency and reform some administrative procedures to facilitate public access. They also requested that the province promptly address the difficulties faced by households receiving housing support but currently facing issues with land use rights certificates.
We propose that the province re-examine the dike and dam system in the province to plan for timely investment and upgrading of dikes and dams that are in disrepair. We also propose that the province address the shortage and surplus of teachers, especially in remote areas, to avoid a situation where one teacher has to teach at multiple schools.

In her concluding remarks at the conference, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy, Head of the Mass Mobilization Department and Chairwoman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, expressed her sincere gratitude and acknowledged the heartfelt, responsible, and insightful contributions of the delegates. She also stated that the Standing Committee of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Fatherland Front Committee will incorporate the suggestions from the conference to finalize the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee's report, which will be presented at the upcoming 18th Provincial People's Council meeting at the end of 2024.
