Bridges across the road connecting Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro station

Contractors are accelerating progress and rushing construction to complete all nine pedestrian bridges connecting the elevated stations of the Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien metro line 1 in Ho Chi Minh City by September.
Metro Line 1 (Ben Thanh - Suoi Tien) has a total length of 19.7km with 11 elevated stations. Of these, 9 stations (from Tan Cang station to National University station) have added pedestrian bridges connecting to bus stops and residential areas on both sides of Hanoi Highway and Vo Nguyen Giap Street. Each pedestrian bridge is approximately 80-150m long (depending on location). These also serve as the main escape routes in case of an emergency. The image shows a pedestrian bridge connecting to An Phu station. Currently, the architectural work on 6 out of 9 pedestrian bridges (Tan Cang, An Phu, Rach Chiec, Phuoc Long, Binh Thai, and the High-Tech Zone) has been basically completed. The photo shows the pedestrian bridge connecting to Rach Chiec station. The pedestrian bridge at the High-Tech Zone 9 station is the first pedestrian bridge to be built and its architecture, electrical and mechanical systems were completed last April. The pedestrian walkway on the bridge is approximately 3.5m wide, with a clearance (height from the ground to the bridge surface) of nearly 5m, and is covered with a steel roof. Along both sides of the bridge, there are areas for flowerbeds and greenery, providing natural ventilation. The pedestrian bridges are designed to harmonize with the surrounding landscape and the architecture of the elevated station. The steel arched roofs of the pedestrian bridges create a striking feature for the entire metro line. Thu Duc Station is currently under active construction by the contractor, including the pedestrian bridge. National University Station is a high-traffic area due to its proximity to schools and bus stops, making it convenient to travel to other provinces... The image shows Thao Dien station. This location presents the most difficulties and disadvantages for the girder installation work of the project due to its location under a 110kV high-voltage power line, near the foot of the Saigon Bridge, with complex traffic conditions and high vehicle speeds (80km/h)... At the Thao Dien station pedestrian bridge area, the basic load-bearing structure has been completed, and workers are preparing to install the roof. It is expected that all nine pedestrian bridges connecting the stations of metro line 1 will be completed in September. Of these, the last two will be completed at Thu Duc station and National University station.
