After checking their 2024 high school graduation exam scores on the system, candidates should consider the following steps to ensure their rights are protected and to best prepare for registering their university admission preferences.
If candidates notice any discrepancies in their exam scores, they can submit an appeal.
After completing the 2024 high school graduation exam score lookup on the Ministry of Education and Training's website, if candidates notice any discrepancies in their scores or significant differences from their previously estimated results, they may consider submitting an appeal.
According to Clause 1, Article 33 of the Regulations on the High School Graduation Examination issued with Circular 15/2020/TT-BGDĐT, after receiving their exam scores, all candidates have the right to appeal their exam results. Candidates submit their appeal applications at the place where they registered for the exam.
According to the Plan for preparing and organizing the 2024 high school graduation exam, as detailed in Appendix I attached to Official Letter 1277/BGDĐT-QLCL dated March 22, 2024, the announcement of the 2024 high school graduation exam results will be at 8:00 AM on July 17, 2024. Candidates who have submitted an appeal will be considered for high school graduation no later than August 12, 2023.
From July 17th to July 26th, 2024, applications for review will be accepted and a list of those requesting review will be compiled.
Candidates are allowed to register, adjust, and add their application preferences an unlimited number of times before 5 PM on July 30th.
After registering their preferences, candidates still have concerns and uncertainties regarding the placement of their desired universities and the possibility of changing or adjusting their application preferences.
According to a document from the Ministry of Education and Training, candidates are allowed to register, adjust, and supplement their college application preferences an unlimited number of times. Here are some notes for candidates regarding adjusting their preferences on the system:
Candidates use their assigned accounts to process (enter, view, edit) their information on the System;
The application for admission to majors/programs must be submitted online through the System or the National Public Service Portal (Instructions are posted on the System or the National Public Service Portal).
Candidates applying for admission to all training institutions must list their preferences by major/program and rank them from 1 to the last (preference 1 being the highest priority). Candidates must also provide the necessary data (according to the criteria, conditions, and registration procedures stipulated in the admission plan of each training institution) corresponding to the major/program they have applied for, so that the training institutions can use this information for admission consideration (Detailed instructions on the registration steps are posted on the System when candidates access it to register).
All applications submitted by candidates to training institutions are processed on the System, and each candidate is only admitted to the highest-ranked application among those registered, provided they meet all admission requirements.
Candidates who have completed the application process for admission to a training institution according to the institution's early admission plan, if they meet the admission requirements (except for the high school graduation requirement), must continue to register their admission preferences on the System to be considered for admission according to regulations.
According to Official Document 1957/BGDĐT-GDĐH of 2024, candidates can adjust their nguyện vọng (preferences/choices) from July 18th to 5:00 PM on July 30th, 2024 .
At the same time, from July 31st to 5:00 PM on August 6th, 2024, candidates must pay the application fee online according to the number of their application preferences, following the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Successful candidates must confirm their enrollment on the system before August 28, 2024.
After adjusting their preferences, candidates will have some time to rest and wait for information about the cut-off scores for various majors at universities. Universities and colleges will announce the cut-off scores and results of the first round of admissions no later than 5 PM on August 19, 2024. Therefore, successful candidates must confirm their enrollment on the system before August 28, 2024.
For candidates eligible for direct admission, confirmation on the system is also a mandatory requirement. Failure to confirm may result in the candidate missing the opportunity to study at that university.
Once confirmed, candidates will not be considered for further choices, unless the university allows them to opt out of enrollment.
The deadline for candidates applying for direct admission is from July 22, 2024 to 5:00 PM on July 31, 2024.
