The 9X teacher's efforts to achieve success at the excellent teacher contest

After anxiously waiting, the moment she heard her name called on the podium to honor the winning teachers, Ms. Phan Thi Nhi could not help but feel emotional and proud.

The 9X teacher shared: “The contest is truly a useful knowledge playground, arousing passion for the profession, promoting professional development in the teaching staff. Learning from the experiences of colleagues through each round, I feel more mature, more motivated to continuously research and innovate teaching methods. The proud award in this contest is not only a recognition of my own efforts, but also gives me more love for the profession and faith in the path I have chosen.”

In round 1 of the exam, Phan Thi Nhi presented the solution "Applying artificial intelligence (AI) to increase students' interest in learning English in the Looking Back & Project lesson - Global Success 10".

Based on the difficulties and challenges in teaching English to 10th graders, Nhi has boldly integrated artificial intelligence (AI) tools into teaching activities to reduce time spent on repetitive tasks, focusing more on innovation and creativity in lesson design. From there, creating interesting and effective lessons. This initiative also aims to equip students with essential learning skills suitable for the current digital transformation context.

In the practical round of a lesson, Phan Thi Nhi chose a student-centered approach, through designing simple, gentle learning activities that still ensure effectiveness. Accordingly, she built a story that is closely related to the students and the homeroom teacher, to create closeness, helping them to easily sympathize and be more interested when entering the lesson.

The young teacher's creativity and innovation in teaching methods, helping students access knowledge, was highly appreciated by the judges and she won second prize at the contest.

Phan Thi Nhi grew up in a poor village in the Son Linh mountainous area, Huong Son district. In a family of six children, she was the only one who had the opportunity to attend university. Nhi's dream of overcoming the mountains to build her future was fueled by her parents' diligence and thriftiness, as well as her own constant efforts. Completing the English pedagogy program at the University of Foreign Languages - Hue University in 2015, the young teacher worked at New Vision Foreign Language Center and taught on contract at a number of schools in the city. Although the years after graduation were difficult, they helped her accumulate a lot of practical experience. That was also a valuable asset for her to continue developing on her career path.

During her teaching career, the young teacher always wanted to find a modern and highly innovative educational environment. That is why in 2019, Nhi decided to choose iSchool as the place to stay and continue to nurture her dream of becoming a teacher.
