TPO - With a score of 9.75, Trang Ngoc Phuong Nghi is in the group of 301 candidates with the highest Literature score in this year's High School Graduation Exam (the whole country has no score of 10). In her essay, Nghi wrote 7 pages for the social argument section.

In the 2025 High School Graduation Exam results, Literature was a bright spot for Can Tho students, with an average score of more than 7.25 points, the 5th highest score in the country. Among the 301 students with a Literature score of 9.75 points (there is no 10 in Literature nationwide), there is Trang Ngoc Phuong Nghi (class 12A11, FPT High School Can Tho). Phuong Nghi also scored 9.25 points in History and 9 points in Geography.

Talking about this year's Literature exam, Phuong Nghi said that the exam has high requirements for critical thinking and the ability to relate to reality, especially in the social argumentation question section.

For her exam, Phuong Nghi wrote 7 pages to present her essay for the essay question. Instead of familiar examples, Phuong Nghi included in her essay names familiar to young people such as singer Phuong My Chi, Youtuber Khoai Lang Thang...

Citing singer Phuong My Chi, Phuong Nghi said that My Chi is proof that young people know how to preserve and promote national culture through their own passion and talent. As for Youtuber Khoai Lang Thang, the female student cited the spread of homeland culture through trips, connecting regions together and spreading through social networks. The above evidence not only helps Nghi's essay become more vivid and authentic, but also demonstrates her understanding of the lives and trends of today's youth.

Phuong Nghi commented that the current exam, especially in Literature, no longer limits students to the framework of textbook knowledge, but focuses on stimulating creativity and independent thinking. In particular, in addition to learning book knowledge, outside of study time, students must also learn and pay attention to the flow of current events in daily life.

After knowing her exam results, Phuong Nghi said she had registered her wishes and hoped to be admitted to the Art Department of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City National University. “I hope I can touch art, create art products with my own hands to be able to convey humane messages to everyone,” Nghi confided.

At school, Phuong Nghi actively participated in creative competitions and won many high prizes.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Uyen Thuy - Principal of FPT High School Can Tho commented that Phuong Nghi is not only good at Literature, she has won the national STEM award, is an inspirational Learning Ambassador to her friends, hosts events at school, and is an active member of school clubs. Ms. Thuy also assessed that Phuong Nghi's Literature exam score is not only the result of studying, but also the crystallization of the process of experience, emotional depth and independent thinking throughout her years at school.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City, in the 2025 high school graduation exam, Can Tho City had 31,083 candidates taking the exam and graduating. Of these, 30,868 candidates passed the exam, reaching 99.3% (215 failed). The whole city has 73 schools and centers with a 100% graduation rate. In addition, the whole city has 272 exams with a score of 10 in all subjects.
