On the afternoon of May 22nd, at the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly, with 468 out of 469 votes in favor (94.74% of the total number of National Assembly delegates), the National Assembly passed a Resolution electing Mr. Le Quang Manh, Member of the Central Committee of the 13th Party Congress, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, and Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation, to the position of Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee of the 15th National Assembly.

Before voting on the Resolution, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly submitted a proposal introducing Mr. Le Quang Manh, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, for the National Assembly to consider electing him as a Member of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and Chairman of the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly.
