The province has effectively implemented solutions to create new jobs in recent years, including: attracting investment into industrial zones and clusters; strengthening linkages in vocational training; providing career counseling and job placement services; and promoting labor export. At vocational training institutions in the province, enrollment has become increasingly aligned with societal needs. Many professions with high employment rates and suitability to local realities have attracted many rural workers. Notable examples include: Mechatronics, Industrial Electricity, Industrial Electronics, etc. Mr. Nguyen Phan Anh Quoc, Principal of Ninh Thuan Vocational College, stated: "Over the years, the school has consistently strived to improve the quality of vocational education and develop vocational skills to meet the demand for high-quality labor for the province's socio-economic development. Simultaneously, we have proactively engaged in joint ventures and partnerships to introduce and secure employment for graduates." This has contributed to raising the employment rate of graduates to over 85%, with the industrial electrical engineering profession achieving a 100% rate. Many businesses operating in the renewable energy sector in the province have recruited graduates in industrial electrical engineering and industrial electronics for installation, operation, and maintenance positions with salaries of 12-15 million VND/month, higher than the provincial average.
The Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs directs the Provincial Employment Service Center to organize regular monthly job fairs and mobile job fairs in districts and cities. Through job fairs in 2024, over 30,000 workers received advice, job referrals, and vocational training support, including 395 people who received advice, referrals, and job connections. Ms. Phu Thi Song Cuong, from Tan Lap village, Phuoc Nam commune (Thuan Nam district), shared: "Previously, my husband and I worked as laborers, the work was hard and the income was unstable, so our family's circumstances were very difficult. Thanks to participating in the job fair in the commune and receiving advice from officials, I encouraged my husband to participate in overseas labor export." During his two years working in Japan, my husband sent home over 10 million VND each month, helping our family pay off our bank debts, allowing us to renovate our house, provide our children with a better education, and save up some capital to invest in developing effective livestock and crop farming models to escape poverty and stabilize our lives.

Over the past period, the province has implemented many preferential policies to attract large domestic and foreign enterprises and corporations to invest in industrial zones and clusters in the area, creating new jobs for thousands of local workers. To ensure the lives and rights of workers, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has actively coordinated with agencies, units, and localities to guide, support, and urge businesses and employers in the area to properly implement regulations and policies for workers, thereby improving the quality of life for workers in the province. Ms. Tran Thi Trang from An Xuan village, Xuan Hai commune (Ninh Hai district) happily said: "When the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, I returned to my hometown after many years working as a garment worker in an industrial zone in Dong Nai and was unemployed, facing very difficult living conditions." After Vietsun Ninh Thuan Investment Co., Ltd. started operating in Thanh Hai Industrial Park, I applied and was accepted for a job. Now, working near home with a stable income of over 7 million VND/month and many other benefits for employees, my life and the lives of many workers at the company have improved significantly compared to before.
In 2024, the province created 18,505 new jobs, achieving 115.7% of the annual plan. Of these, 222 workers went to work abroad under fixed-term contracts, exceeding the assigned plan by 48%. This contributed to reducing the poverty rate according to the multidimensional poverty standard to 2.6%, and the average per capita income reached 98.2 million VND. Mr. Tran Duc Long, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, stated: Promoting job creation for workers is a crucial solution for the province to effectively implement sustainable poverty reduction. With the successful completion of job placement for workers exceeding the set plan, a good foundation will be laid for 2025, the year of achieving the goals of the 14th Provincial Party Congress Resolution. The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs will strive to complete the targets and tasks regarding labor and employment in 2025 and the entire 2020-2025 term. Specifically, the department will continue to promote job counseling and placement services to grassroots levels, including remote and disadvantaged areas. In addition, it will focus on collecting data on "Job seeking - Job seekers," analyzing, forecasting, and providing labor market information to organize effective job placement, aiming to create 16,000 new jobs in 2025, thereby contributing to poverty reduction and increased income for workers in the province.
