Fireworks tell the story of Da Nang in the technology era

On the evening of June 28, the qualifying round of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2025 with the theme “technology leads the way” saw a fiery competition between two fireworks teams from Korea and Italy. The rain at the beginning of the night could not stop the brilliant fireworks, sublime music and art.

From 7 pm, people from all over Da Nang poured into the DIFF 2025 stands. More than 10,000 seats were quickly filled, from domestic and international tourists, local people to world- famous football players who were also present to enjoy the fireworks night.

The opening night witnessed the impressive debut of the rookie Faseecom from Korea. With a performance inspired by the Dragon symbol and modern Da Nang city, the Korean fireworks team told a story with light, full of cinema called "Flying Dragon Dance".

The performance consists of 5 chapters, depicting in turn: the birth of the Dragon, the growth journey of the city on the Han River, modern vitality, future aspirations and ending with a brilliant epic of light.

From the very first seconds, the gentle background music “Fanfare” plays, blending with soft fireworks, leading the audience into an open, poetic space. Each layer of colorful fireworks effects is carefully staged, with smooth transitions, making emotions seem to be heightened with each stage of the story.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2025, presented commemorative medals to representatives of the two competing teams.

The most impressive highlight was when the team set off fireworks to rap music, “lighting up” the sky with Home Sweet Home by the famous star G-Dragon. The bursts of yellow and blue fireworks, exploding with a fast, intense rhythm, made the whole audience excited.

The modern, dynamic spirit of Da Nang City was “translated” into fireworks with the precise and artistic language of light. The performance ended magnificently with the song Undefeated as a strong declaration of Da Nang’s desire to constantly rise in the new era. The dense firecrackers spread across the sky as if painting the image of a soaring dragon, embracing the audience in a perfect ending.

Meanwhile, from powerful rock to melodious opera melodies, the Italian Martarello Group SRL led the audience on a mesmerizing visual journey in the performance “Chorus of Light – Opening the Future” .

Opening with a brilliant sunrise – a symbol of the beginning, the performance took the audience through waves of color symbolizing the vitality, energy and aspiration of the city on the Han River. The climax was a series of synchronized effects combining fireworks and music, ending with a brilliant finale as an affirmation of a breakthrough era.

Right from the first moments, the performance exploded with a series of red high-altitude fireworks, radiating to the rhythm of the rock music and the intense cinematic of Blood Sport , Aphelion ... creating the feeling that the heart of the city was beating strongly in excitement. The sharp lighting effects created a captivating visual effect that made the audience feel like they were watching an action movie.

As the cheerful jazz melody began, the performance changed tone unexpectedly with colorful fireworks shooting up and falling like a waterfall of light. The subtle combination with Vietnamese songs such as Chuyen cu bo qua, Bong bong bang bang brought a familiar feeling that delighted many audiences.

As the performance progressed, the emotional rhythm was pushed to a higher level. The team used a series of effects, from fan-shaped fireworks that spread out to embrace the sky, water cannons that sprayed from low to high levels, and then high-altitude multi-colored fireworks effects. When Time to say Goodbye , the immortal opera love song by Andrea Bocelli, sounded, hundreds of fireworks exploded simultaneously, closing the performance with a spectacular "rain of light" that covered the entire audience.

Once again, the Italian team affirmed its class and at the same time sent a message about a Da Nang that is growing strongly, ready to enter a new era with light, technology and creativity.

Special art program

Not only did it explode in the sky, the stage on the banks of the Han River in the final night of the DIFF 2025 qualifying round was equally brilliant with an elaborate art program. The sublime melodies were performed through the powerful voices of "beautiful sister" Duong Hoang Yen, singer Le Anh Dung, along with the captivating performances of dancesport champion Hoang My An and dancers from the top dance troupes across the country.
