The mayor's office of Clamart, a quiet town of about 50,000 people southwest of Paris, said no one would be allowed to leave their homes between 9 p.m. (1900 GMT) and 6 a.m. from June 29 to July 3.

In Clamart, a tram was burned during protests from the night of June 28 to June 29.

Earlier, the mayor of Paris said that bus and tram services in and around the capital will be suspended from 9 p.m. every day, starting June 29, "to ensure the safety of staff and passengers" amid the expected continued protests.
