In 2023, thanks to the active involvement of departments, agencies, and localities, the traffic safety situation in the province saw many positive changes. Traffic accidents continued to be controlled and reduced in all three criteria: number of incidents, number of deaths, and number of injuries, with no particularly serious accidents occurring.

With the theme for the 2024 Traffic Safety Year being "Upholding the rule of law to build a safe traffic culture," Quang Tri province aims to continue striving to reduce traffic accidents by over 5% in terms of the number of incidents, deaths, and injuries compared to 2023; focusing on ensuring the security, safety, health, lives, and property of the people, and overcoming traffic congestion.
