Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 03/QD-TTg approving the list of members of the National Steering Committee for the development of Vietnam's pharmaceutical industry until 2030, with a vision to 2045.


Approving the list of members of the National Steering Committee for the Development of the Vietnamese Pharmaceutical Industry

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 03/QD-TTg approving the list of members of the National Steering Committee for the development of Vietnam's pharmaceutical industry until 2030, with a vision to 2045.

Accordingly, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long is the Head of the National Steering Committee for the Development of Vietnam's Pharmaceutical Industry to 2030, with a vision to 2045 (Steering Committee). The Deputy Head of the Steering Committee is Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan.

The members include: Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen (Standing Member); Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan; Deputy Minister of Finance Cao Anh Tuan; Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui The Duy; Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc; Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Hoang Trung; Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong; Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Le Cong Thanh; Deputy Minister of Public Security Le Van Tuyen; Deputy General Director of Vietnam Social Security Nguyen Duc Hoa; Director of the Department of Drug Administration, Ministry of Health Vu Tuan Cuong.

Decision No. 705/QD-TTg dated July 23, 2024 of the Prime Minister clearly states that the Steering Committee has the function of assisting the Prime Minister in researching, directing and coordinating the resolution of important, inter-sectoral tasks in implementing the National Strategy for the Development of the Vietnamese Pharmaceutical Industry to 2030, with a vision to 2045, approved under Decision No. 1165/QD-TTg dated October 9, 2023 of the Prime Minister (Strategy 1165) and the Program for the Development of the Domestic Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Materials Industry to 2030, with a vision to 2045, approved under Decision No. 376/QD-TTg dated March 17, 2021 of the Prime Minister (Program 376).

The duties and powers of the Steering Committee include: Researching and proposing to the Prime Minister directions and solutions to resolve important, inter-sectoral issues to achieve the goals in Strategy 1165 and Program 376.

Assist the Prime Minister: Direct and coordinate activities and tasks among ministries, branches and localities in implementing Strategy 1165 and Program 376. Urge ministries, branches and localities in implementing tasks in Strategy 1165 and Program 376; review the contents of important projects and proposals on pharmaceutical industry development.

Advise the Prime Minister to review, summarize, and evaluate the situation and results of implementing key tasks and solutions to implement Strategy 1165 and Program 376.

Request ministries, branches, localities, state agencies, organizations and individuals to provide information and documents to serve the implementation of the tasks of the Steering Committee. Organize working groups to direct, urge and promote the implementation of Strategy 1165 and Program 376. Perform other tasks and powers assigned by the Prime Minister...
