Vice President attends the opening ceremony of the Northwest-Dien Bien 2025 Quintessence Festival

On the evening of September 19, the opening ceremony of the Northwest Quintessence Festival - Dien Bien 2025 took place at Dien Bien Provincial Stadium.

The event was chaired by the People's Committee of Dien Bien province, in coordination with the extended Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City, organized on a regional scale to promote and improve the effectiveness of cooperation activities in tourism development, promote and effectively exploit the tourism potential and advantages of localities.

At the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan emphasized that this is a regional event with many exciting, rich, attractive and in-depth cultural and tourism activities, demonstrating the determination of the Party Committee, government and people of the extended Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.

The Festival is a highlight to continue promoting and improving the effectiveness of tourism development cooperation activities, contributing to promoting and effectively exploiting the potential and advantages of tourism development of localities.

This is also an opportunity for tourists to have more experiences, explore the natural beauty and culture of ethnic groups, and foster love for their homeland and national pride.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan suggested that the Party Committee, government, business community and ethnic people of the expanded Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City focus on developing tourism with the motto "Unique products - Professional services - Convenient and simple procedures - Competitive prices - Clean and beautiful environment - Safe, civilized and friendly destinations."

The parties agreed on the motto of cooperation and association in tourism development between localities; cherishing, respecting, promoting and effectively exploiting the unique traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities, considering this a priceless asset for tourism development.

The Vice President asked the central ministries, departments and branches to pay attention to supporting and creating favorable conditions for the Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City to promote rapid and sustainable tourism development.

Capable and experienced domestic and foreign enterprises are interested in researching, surveying, proposing and implementing investment projects of reasonable scale, as a driving force for developing Northwest tourism in the new period.

The core objective of the Festival is to continue promoting and improving the effectiveness of linkage and cooperation activities in tourism development between the extended Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.

The program is expected to create a widespread inter-regional tourism space, contributing to improving the locality's competitiveness on the national and regional tourism map.

Dien Bien Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong affirmed that activities at the Festival will continue to promote and improve the effectiveness of tourism development cooperation between the extended Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.

The Festival aims to create a system of economic-cultural-tourism products typical of the extended Northwest region. These products will be developed on the basis of a common brand, deeply indigenous but capable of reaching regional and international levels.

Through this, the Northwestern provinces can proactively participate in the broader tourism value chain, while promoting domestic product consumption and local economic growth.

After the opening ceremony is the art program "Connecting the clouds and sky - Reaching the Northwest." Throughout the art part is the journey of weaving a colorful brocade, where the cultural quintessence of the 6 extended Northwest provinces blends with the dynamic breath of Ho Chi Minh City.

The opening part with the theme “Weaving the mountains and forests - Echoes of identity” took the audience on a journey to discover the brilliant sky - where the original sounds of the Northwest mountains and forests blend with the rhythm of modern life. From the giant loom weaving ethnic colors, the stage opened up a bustling festival atmosphere, recreating the gathering scene of the extended Northwest provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.

Next is “Brilliant Northwest” - a symbol of rising in the new era, where traditional values blend with modern life, narrowing the gap between cultural regions.

The Northwest preserves its roots but does not reject the new wind, steadfastly entering the digital age with its own identity. Ho Chi Minh City - the land of creative waves and internal strength is continuing the economic flow, dividing the cultural rhythm, bringing the warmth of the ocean to blend with the cool breeze of the great forest.

The ending part “The Northwest is rising up - Taking off with the country” shows the aspiration to rise up, becoming a bright spot of integration - strong, confident and full of inner strength. Together with Ho Chi Minh City, the expanded Northwest provinces are keeping pace with the development speed…

The art program has the participation of famous singers and artists such as: Thu Minh, Ha Le, Tang Duy Tan, Da LAB, Quynh Nhu, Rapper RICA, TRE dance group.../.
