At the grounds of the Association, Vice President of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong offered incense to President Ho Chi Minh , remembering President Ho Chi Minh 's words: "The blood of the soldiers has dyed the revolutionary flag redder. The sacrifice of the martyrs has prepared the country for the blossoming of independence, the fruit of freedom. Therefore, for those loyal children, the Government and the people must repay them in a worthy way."

Sharing about the results of the Association's activities, Lieutenant General Hoang Khanh Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs, said that the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs is a social organization established under Decision No. 1081 QD-BNV dated September 17, 2010 of the Minister of Home Affairs with the motto and purpose of operation being "Honoring and showing gratitude to heroic martyrs and their families; supporting martyrs' families to access and implement the policies of the Party and State; collecting information, searching for the remains of martyrs who are still lost or whose identities have not been determined by evidence and DNA testing; participating in research and proposing to state management agencies on policies and solutions to implement policies for martyrs and their families". With the deep concern of the leaders of the Party, State, Ministries, Central and local departments and branches, over the past 15 years, the organization of the Association has continuously developed, with 21 Associations and Branches at provincial and city levels, more than 96 Branches at district level and equivalent (Data before merging at provincial and city levels and implementing 2-level government) and nearly 7,000 members nationwide. The President of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs emphasized that paying tribute to martyrs is a long-term task of the entire Party, all our people and the mission of the Association, with the motto "Dedication, affection, efficiency" as the guiding principle for all activities.
The Association has regularly organized social mobilization, creating financial resources to support families of martyrs in especially difficult circumstances. By the end of June 2025, the Association had donated nearly 1,200 gratitude houses, upgraded more than 120 houses, donated more than 3,100 savings books, donated 880 scholarships to children and grandchildren of poor martyrs who have overcome difficulties, donated 250 wheelchairs, nearly 600 bicycles and more than 64,700 gifts to families of martyrs, and supported over 100 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in all provinces and cities nationwide.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong highly appreciated the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs for successfully fulfilling its principles and objectives, being an extended arm to connect the Party and State with families of martyrs; being a trusted address for relatives and families of martyrs; being a trusted address for philanthropists. The Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs also contributes to easing the pain of relatives of martyrs; maintaining political security, social order and safety; reducing superstition in the process of searching for and collecting martyrs' remains. Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong hopes that in the coming time, the flame of gratitude for heroic martyrs in particular and those who have contributed to the revolution in general will continue to be lit.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly affirmed: "Taking care of people with meritorious services in general and relatives and families of martyrs in particular is not only a sentiment, responsibility, and gratitude, but also a continuation, creating spiritual resources, multiplying the symbol of will and spirit of national independence in the new era, and that is a resource for the country."
Wishing the members of the Vietnam Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs good health and continuing to foster and promote their spirit in the new period, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quang Phuong expressed his hope that the Association will promote its capacity and continue to do well in supporting families of martyrs, as well as in searching for, collecting remains of martyrs and identifying martyrs in the coming time.
