Remembering the source of the water we drink: This year, seven communes and towns participated in the procession to Hung Temple, including: Hung Lo; Kim Duc; Hy Cuong; Chu Hoa and Van Phu ward (Viet Tri city); Tien Kien commune; and Hung Son town (Lam Thao district).

The procession of palanquins to Hung Temple recreates the cultural and religious activities of the people of the ancestral land, associated with the worship of ancestors. In addition, the ceremony enriches and attracts folk cultural activities during the Hung King's Commemoration Day; it awakens national historical pride and cultural traditions, aiming to educate awareness, the spirit of national unity, and the moral principle of "drinking water, remembering the source," and "eating the fruit, remembering the tree planter." One of the activities that attracted a large audience was the lion and dragon dance performance, performed by the Tam Hiep Lion and Dragon Dance Club (Phuc Tho district, Hanoi). The graceful and flexible dances, combined with lively music, created a joyful and exciting atmosphere, adding a highlight to this year's festival.

Mr. Tran Van Dich, the club's chairman, said that, in accordance with the principle of "Drinking water, remembering the source," the Tam Hiep Lion Dance Club, like millions of Vietnamese people, turns towards the ancestral land, the origin of the nation, to commemorate the merits of their ancestors and forefathers who contributed to the nation's founding. Continuing the tradition of "Descendants of the Dragon and the Immortal," visitors to Hung Temple during the Hung King's Commemoration Day not only immerse themselves in the solemn and respectful atmosphere of the procession but also gain a deeper understanding of the Hung King worshiping beliefs, thereby fostering love for their homeland and pride in their lineage as "Descendants of the Dragon and the Immortal." Also on the afternoon of April 15th, information from the Phu Tho Provincial Youth Union indicated that, in participation in the Hung King's Commemoration Day - Hung Temple Festival and the Ancestral Land Culture and Tourism Week, the Provincial Youth Union has directed its subordinate Youth Union branches to establish and organize volunteer youth teams to serve the festival. It is reported that the Phu Tho Provincial Youth Union mobilized 2,600 youth union members and young people to volunteer in environmental sanitation, guiding and assisting tourists at the Hung Temple historical site during the 10 days of the festival. This was especially true on weekends and during the peak days of the 9th and 10th of the third lunar month. On the 9th of the third lunar month, the Phu Tho Student Association in Hanoi will coordinate with staff at the Hung Temple historical site to clean up the environment until night to ensure cleanliness. On the 10th of the third lunar month, the provincial youth union mobilized 1,000 youth union members and young people to build soft barriers to prevent congestion during the Hung Temple Ancestor Commemoration Ceremony. At the same time, a team of 100 young people and 35 children participated in the ceremony.

To date, over 1,000 Youth Union members have participated in volunteer activities at the Hung Temple historical site, making a significant contribution to maintaining a green, clean, and beautiful landscape. Many activities carried out by Youth Union members, such as assisting the elderly, disabled, and children, guiding tourists, and cleaning up the environment, have left a positive impression on visitors throughout their journey to the ancestral land. Activities promoting awareness of the value and responsibility of preserving cultural heritage in the ancestral land, including intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO, have also been intensified among Youth Union officials and members.
