Quang Nam plans economic growth target for 2026 period

According to the report from the Provincial People's Committee, on January 17, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 72 approving the Quang Nam Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Accordingly, the goal by 2030 is for Quang Nam to strive to become a moderately developed province in the country; and an important growth pole of the Central and Central Highlands region.

Quang Nam will have a synchronized and modern infrastructure network; develop aviation, seaports, logistics services, tourism, automotive and mechanical engineering industries, and electricity on a regional scale; form a national-level center for medicinal herbs, deep processing of agricultural and forestry products, and silica; have high-quality vocational training facilities; possess a rich and distinctive culture; have most medical and educational facilities meeting national standards; and have a synchronized urban system integrated with rural areas. The average economic growth rate (GRDP) for the period 2021-2030 is expected to exceed 8% per year.

According to the Provincial People's Committee, in order to strive to achieve the goals set out in the approved plan, contributing to creating the foundation for Quang Nam province to become a developing country with modern industry and high middle income by 2030, the Provincial People's Committee of Quang Nam projects the province's economic growth target for the period 2026-2030 to be 11.5%.
